Cooking in microwaves below 1100 watts will require additional time to reach proper temperature. 1. Pour vegetables into microwave-safe dish. Add 1/4 cup for 4 cups or 2 tbsp. for 2 cups; cover. 2. Microwave on high as directed below until thoroughly heated. 4 Cups: 5 minutes; stir and microwave 2 to 3 minutes longer. 2 Cups: 2 minutes; stir and microwave 1 to 2 minutes longer. 3. Drain; season to taste. Stovetop: 1. Pour vegetables into saucepan. Add 1/2 cup water for 4 cups or 1/4 cup water for 2 cups. 2. Bring water to a full boil over high heat. Cover; reduce heat to medium. 3. Cook, stirring occasionally, 6 to 7 minutes for 4 cups (3 to 4 minutes for 2 cups) until thoroughly heated. Drain; season to taste. For food safety cook to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F as measured with a food thermometer. Appliances may vary; adjust cooking time accordingly. Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately. Keep package for reference.
