great shoes for volleyball. previously had Asics low top volleyball shoes but this shoe is much better. Good support, light and easy to jump off of. The previous reviews about the plastic piece on the bottom that makes clicking noise are present. I see how it can get annoying but i am only using this to play volleyball, can't tell during a game, only when you walk around hard surface. didn't need time to get used to the shoes, good to go right out of the box.

I brought a pair but had to return them because the plastic that is on the bottom of the shoe kept on scraping on the road and making a funny sound. Not sure why they need that peice in the bottom of the shoe. If that was not there, I probably brought two paire.

I have been wearing Mizuno's for volleyball for almost 12 years. I love to Wave Tornado X2 it provides a lot of ankle support and is a great all around shoe. The only downside is I have Achilles problems so these irritated my heel, but I bought other Mizunos while I recover. I would love to be a tester for Mizuno products, I've grown to be a fan of the quality.

Sprains everday

Im a student athlete I played volleyball since I was really young, I loved mizuno's, yet this line the tornado mid's are the one who made me switch. My first tornado's were the X mid I got three ankle sprains on my right JUST BY RECIEVING one by hitting. My second and last were the X2 mids they were great, but that shoes was badluck for me. The past three months with that shoe I got 4 MORE ankle sprains on my right, and a Major ankle sprain on my left which stopped me for playing for a long time. Then when I recovered I gave basketball shoes a try! But then I was washing my basketball shoes and needed to use the Tornado's again and that day, that one day I decided to use it I sprained my ankle again, which Im sad about because I can't play my favorite sport volleyball for like two weeks again... My problem with these shoes is: • No ankle support (tho mid top shoe) • No arch support • No lateral support • No support in general • These shoes are the heaviest shoes Ive owned in my life. • The outsole is one inch high and the in sole puts more height to the shoes, with not wing support on the side. Sounds great! You have a 1 inch gap from the floor! So when you sprain your ankle you have 1 more week-month in recovering. It hurts to say that I would not recommend this to young athletes who are starting volleyball. Why because one day they were playing on the court and there whole world goes upside down when they sprain there ankle or get an ACL. (SHATTERED DREAMS)

This is my third pair of Mizunos. I almost wore out the first pair (Wave Lightning Z) before they were stolen. My Wave Bolt 6 are near new but I have landed on people's feet and ended up on crutches twice in the last six months (both ankles) so I wanted more support. I was disappointed when I put them on the first night. Maybe I expected them to feel more like the braces I had been wearing. Then I landed on someone's foot. My ankle hurt but the bottom of the shoe made it turn outward and I was fine. Any other pair of shoes and I am afraid I would not be walking right now.
