A: The above answer is incorrect - this dispenser measures 6.5" high in total! The base is 4.5", but the pump adds additional height.

Q: HOW DO YOU OPEN TO FILL? I am sorry, but the top does not simply pop off when I push down and twist. The 'push down' is the normal push one would do to operate the dispenser.

Don't waste your money on this pump or any of the other pieces in the matching set. It starts peeling due to tiny drops of water that naturally are going to hit the surface (because it's a soap dispenser, after all) and looks like crap. I bought multiple for my whole house and one has already broken.

The Q&A response was wrong, so I wanted to share how to open it. Pull the topmost pump part straight off the straw. Then you’ll be able to apply enough pressure to twist the part underneath.
