Keep that new beautiful rug in place with this Threshold Natural Rug Tape. This tape attaches right to the bottom of your rug and is skid resistant. It's just what you've been looking for to keep that rug in place and lying flat. Rug tape can be used on hardwood or carpet for the same desired effect.
This is great for holding smaller rugs, runners and fatique mats in place!

First of all if you have a big rug 5 x 7 or 6 x 8, buy a carpet pad, you are going to be much happier, it would take a lot of tape to keep a rug in place so a pad is cheaper. If you are going carpet to carpet, get a thicker pad, and carpet to wood the thin works much better. Now for this product. It is a tacky product, it lightly sticks and will peel right off. It works great on runner rugs and small area rugs and fatigue mats in the kitchen. (That is what I use it for.) Now for what it won't do. You cannot use it to hang things, it will not work on carpet to carpet. It works great on wood or laminate floors without damaging them or leaving stick residue. First, make sure your floor is clean and dry, and there are no crumbs or debris on the carpet back. Slap a couple of strips on each end on the floor and put your carpet on. It should hold it in place even during vacuuming. I have found you can usually pull up your rug a few times when mopping the floors and it will still work. I keep a roll on hand incase I need to replace the strips. Its great for holding smaller rugs in place it works great, and is inexpensive.
I feel this tape would work well on hardwood floors or uncarpeted floors but I bought it to keep an area rug attached to wall to wall carpeting in our nursery. The product claims it will stick to carpets but it doesn’t do a very good job. The area rug continued to move around.
