[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 year old daughter loves her new Mongoose Index BMX Bike. It rides so smooth and fast. The frame is well built and very sturdy. It has a nice weight to it. My daughter loves the black color and it’s a great size for her. She she the bike is so easy to ride on and super comfortable. It’s a trick bike for those who like to do tricks and performs. It’s a great value.

The Mongoose Index 1.0 Boys’ 20” Freestyle BMX Bike is a solid, durable bike that’s perfect for kids who love ramps, rails, and trying new tricks. The single-speed drivetrain keeps things simple, and the alloy linear-pull brake gives reliable stopping power. My son’s favorite part is the four freestyle pegs, gives it a BMX setup feel. The seat is sturdy and comfortable, the handlebars are placed perfectly for his size, the frame fits him so well. This bike is everything we hoped it would be!

I can tell that it is made very well and safe for him to use. I have rode it myself and can say it rides super smoothly - totally makes me want one for myself, lol. It even comes with front and rear pegs!

The kids like off-road type riding, and this bike was excellent for that as well. The tires grip the dirt just like asphalt. It's fun to ride on all terrain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful looking bike! Super cool with the pegs for stunts. My nephew is into BMX bikes and I can’t wait for him to have this! Super easy to put together. Things needed for assembly are: 5&6mm Allen wrenches, 14&15mm wrenches, Phillips screw drivers and scissors. The seat is sturdy yet comfortable. Tires are beefy and perfect for all terrain. Kickstand to keep it upright. Great looking too!! Very nice bike! Thank you Influenster!

It looks great, we both love the blue lettering on it. It was simple enough to put together with easy to read instructions. Rides smooth and is comfortable. It’s the perfect size for him and he has room to grow with it which is nice. Haven’t had any issues with it so far, brakes work, son says he wants different grips but I think it’s more for looks than comfort. All in all great bike. Sorry about the photo being of the box, once we got the bike together he just took off didn’t have the patience for mom to take pictures.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Mongoose BMX looks so cool! It was easy to assemble and only took me 5-10 minutes. I did use my own tools for the assembly since it did not come with an Allen wrench or pliers. This is a great beginners bmx bike.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We thought this bike was going to be an easy assembly but there was one complicated part. The instruction manual is just a general instruction manual for all of Mongoose bikes so the pictures were exactly right for what we were looking at. When it came time to assemble the handlebars we had issues because a part of the bar was stuck down in the hole and this created issues with getting the handlebars turned the correct way. Mongoose really needs more specific manuals for their bikes. It rides well and my son likes it though. He’s still learning to ride and I think it’s a good size for him.

It wasn’t hard to put together with easy to read directions. The tires were nice and it was easy to move and steer the handlebars around. It rode smoothly. This bike will grow with my daughter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembly was a little frustrating in the beginning, regarding brake lines and confusion in the instructions. After that, assembly was a breeze. Seat is very firm so slightly uncomfortable at times. Performance wise, everything is aces.

The smooth black matte color is very cool. My son says it’s “cookin”. Recommended for youth 48”-54” inches tall. My 49” tall child has room to grow into the bike. Our bike was delivered and packed with exceptional padding. Every component was protected and in perfect condition. Assembly is mostly straightforward with the exception of the third brake cable. It took a while to realize the 3rd brake cable comes out of stem binder bolt. I felt like the instruction manual could be improved with more explicit instructions about this step. Required tools are in the review photo. You’ll save yourself some time picking this up in the store pre-assembled. Overall, the bike is great quality and will provide both of my children with many years of riding.
