Montreal Shag Rug - Safavieh

The rug is beautiful and quite fluffy. However, the backing is super thin and hard so slips all over (the 9' runner, not the big 8x10'). I've tried everything from 3M carpet grippers to non-slip pads to carpet tape to keep it from moving on our LVP flooring, but nothing works. Even though I love the look, it's useless because I can't put it down.

Great rug! Very plush and comfortable. I started by ordering a runner, but liked it so much we ordered a 5x7 for the bedroom. Makes it super cozy can just the wood floors. Biggest fan? Our dog!

Purchased the 3x5 in ivory/beige. Slightly more stiff than plush, but was pleasantly surprised by the pile variation in the rug. Also, spot cleaning was relatively easy.

Love this rug, I've had it for about 1-2 weeks and it looks great in my living room. Very soft and cleans easily (my nephew spit up on it and no issues getting it out).

Somehow not represented well online, it's alot less blue than represented. Had to return it.

For those of you wondering how it is shipped - this will arrive in thick plastic, not a box. I love the design, and the 5x7 fits in my already small living room perfectly. Not as shaggy as I hoped, but for the price I'm very happy.

Gorgeous! My photo doesn't do it justice but it's actually what I would call taupe and ivory. It fits beautifully with my decor. Very plush and soft. The edges are curled from being rolled tightly during delivery but I'm assuming they will eventually lay flat. I'm very happy with it.

I love the rug, I have only had it for a week. Color is great, tan with white pattern is not metallic and is very true to the color. Also the rug is nice and fluffy. I did not have an issue with getting it flat. I un-rolled and rolled backwards for a couple of hours then laid it flat with heavy items to help the edges and that did the trick. Only disappointment was I had to get a smaller rug as they did not have the size I needed in the color I wanted and I didn’t want to wait for the size to restocked (not sure if it would get restocked) and I wasn’t finding anything else I liked with good reviews and a good price point. Overall this seems to be a good purchase especially for the price.

Nice rug. Ends stay rolled and you can feel bumps when standing on rug where it was rolled - even after putting heavy stuff on it for two weeks

The rug is beautiful and plush. BUT I am very disappointed after trying to layout this rug in my livingroom once received. Now either the description on targets site needs to be corrected or maybe I received a defective item!! But PLEASE be aware that the 8x10 version is NOT actually 8X10 as advertised. In the same order I purchased an 8x10 plush rugpad to prevent the rug from slipping and protect from scratching up my hardwood floors. Both items said they were 8x10 so I would expect that both would line up exact. Unfortunately when I finally received the underpad a few days after receiving the area rug, I was very upset to see that both 8x10 items DID NOT line up perfectly. The underpad stuck out significantly further in length past the area rug. After measuring both items we found that this rug is actually 118 inches in length NOT 120 inches (or 8ft) as promised. The rugpad was not cheap and I did not want nor did I expect that we would be forced to alter the underpad to match the actual size of the area rug. Not sure if this problem is only with the 8x10 version or if all choices are shorter in length than advertised. But if u need an underpad please be advised that you either need to alter the pad to fit or just purchase another brand rug that is actually the length promised.

The rug is just what I was looking for!! It has a shiny metallic grey color to it. The pattern goes with any theme/design in your home. Thanks target!!

I love the plushness of this rug ! The smell not so much. The smell lasted about 5 days. It’s shiner than I expected but fits my living area fine!

We just bought this rug for our sons room. The colors are beautiful and it seems to be well made. It even prettier in person and best of all my son loves it!

This rug is absolutely beautiful, soft and plushy. I've been looking all over different stores (online and in person) for something like this, and I wasn't 100% sure if I want to give this rug a try without even touching/feeling the materials, but I did, and I love it. The pictures showing the close up of the rug made up my mind to get it.
