Cute concept but, if you have a bumper case
On your phone you need to remove it for projector to work. Then you must get Projector lined up perfectly to properly work. Fun novelty for bedtime stories if your willI got to have patients to get it all to work!
We loved using our free Moonlite starter kit for stories. Theres so much variety in the selection of books you can read. They are short and sweet too. The discs are hard plastic that slide into a holder. The holder attaches into your phone and has padding where the screen touches. No damage is done to your phone. The flashlight on your phone works at the projector. You have to download the app and have a choice of playing music also when you read your story. There's a dial to adjust the picture so it's not blurry. There is ALOT of more books to purchase on the app as well. The only downside to this was turning the disc to turn the pages. I'm right handed and it would seem easier with the product built in the other direction. (Obviously there's not just all right handers out there) Sometimes I'd turn too many at once. Even with the minor issue I'd recommend this to all my mommy friends. Such a clever idea for story time and the kids love it too. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
We bought this about 7 mo this ago and it was on clearance. It requires a cellphone and it also requires you to download their app to use the device. Each story has a special code you enter into the app and the story is uploaded. The stories are really cute but I do Wish it had different background music. I love how much my son enjoys the stories and it’s a different and interactive way to have a bedtime story routine. Yes, it’s a little expensive up front, but the book reels aren’t much more than an actual book. We haven’t any issues with the devises or reels. We keep them stored in their original package and out of light. It’s a lot of fun. Takes some getting used to. Keep fingers off of the reels to prevent smudges on the pictures. Amazing little product.
This is such an awesome product! It's perfect for bed time, it gets the kids extra tired since we have to turn off the lights. They are actually interested and want to read more! I highly recommend this for any family! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
My children as well as myself are absolutely amazed by the moonlite storytime gift set . I love how it comes with different stories for each of the kids interest.. it's a fun way to get them involved in something together being even the same house they tend to be separated... instead constantly watching television at night I switched it up to reading a book with a snack so they still get movie and snack in a sense. It's very easy and convenient just simply download app input code and click on story it's comes with and attachment that's connects to your phone sorta like a portable projector that goes on your camera lens we turn the lights off and enjoy ... it shines on the wall lens are adjustable... I love how my kids play with it nightly now you really get a bang for your buck with awesome awesome quality even the dogs sat quite and looked at story time (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
My girls enjoyed this moonlight gift pack. Immediately after we received our package we set it up in our game room and had a blast going through all of the stories. The cool thing is that you get use your phone and don't have to purchase any expensive projecting equipment. Set up was easy and the viewing quality was good as well. We now have weekly slumber parties and view these stories over and over. We appreciated being selected. Great family fun for all ages. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
We had a little bit of trouble getting started because the access code that came with the kit did not work. Neither did the second code provided by the customer service rep. But as the saying goes, the third time’s the charm! We were off to the races. I tried handing it over to my 10 and 5 year old to play with but they were unable to successfully get it started and the only thing they missed was rotating the lens to clear the image. So other than that it was pretty straightforward. It does take a bit of fine.motor control to turn the reel without taking the whole apparatus off your phone. The stories are Disney adorable. The music is good, but not necessary so they can still use this even if you need to be in a quiet area. I do wish it were more of a read-along instrument. The Moonlite gift pack was used with my iPhone. It was easy to find the app and download it. I was able to attach the projector to my phone, though it doesn’t seem to line up like it’s supposed to. I always have to adjust it. My kids did enjoy it and would ask for it. It would be better if the pictures moved. I also found the background music a bit too loud, and I couldn’t find a way to turn it down or off. There were only a few words that when you press, make an extra sound. All in all it’s a novelty, and I didn’t find the stories particularly engaging but my kids did ask for me it read these “ceiling” stories to them. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
