The Motorola Model MB7420 is a 16x4, 686 Mbps, DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem certified by a number of leading cable service providers including Comcast XFINITY and Time Warner Cable. Owning this modem eliminates modem rental charges that are often $100 or more per year. With easy installation, high-speed, broad compatibility, and superb customer support, Motorola Model MB7420 is the perfect choice for almost any cable modem user. 16 X 4 performance means that up to 16 cable data channels carry data from the Internet, sixteen times faster than DOCSIS 2.0; and up to 4 channels carry data to the Internet. A 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) port allows connection of a computer, router, HDTV, game station, or other Ethernet-capable device. Setup is fast and easy with a few quick steps set out in a Quick Start guide. Experienced USA-based customer support specialists are ready and willing to help if you need them. Motorola Model MB7420’s compact, attractive design saves space and looks good in any home or office. This product is backed by a two-year warranty and features ruggedized lightning and power surge circuits to provide additional protection of your investment. DOCSIS 3.0, 2.0, and 1.1 support and CableLabs certification ensure compatibility with services nationwide. Best of all, the MB7420 offers the value, performance, and attention to quality that continue to make Motorola the leading brand of cable modems. Please note that the MB7420 plugs easily into computers, HDTVs, and other Ethernet-capable devices including any router of your choice, but the MB7420 does not have a built-in router. The Motorola Model MG7315, for instance, has both a cable modem and a built-in router.

The modem is working flawlessly. It connected without issue and bonded 16 channels down and 4 channels up. The upstream power is only 44 dBmV behind one splitter. The speeds are slightly better than the subscribed service. Time will tell if it's durable. It comes with a 2 year warrantee. It consumes...see moreof the reviewer's review

I have this modem and I absolutely love it! That is why I went ahead and purchased 2: one each for my son & daughter for Xmas! It works perfectly with Time Warner and saves me $10 a month for a rental fee from them! It paid for itself in less than a year!

Works fantastic. Once plugged up, it recognized a hot cable line immediately. The only thing extra to do to set it up was to call the cable internet provider to activate it on their service. It's also compatible if / when cable internet evolves to even higher speeds. It also seems that I am getting ...see moreof the reviewer's review

I set this up with Cox as my ISP. I simply switched out the older model Motorola with this one. I asked Cox to register it and my Apple Extreme Base Station router required absolutely no tweaking. My WiFi network never went down except for the Apple Extreme self-restart.

This modem is a screamer! I upgraded from a decent Arris modem I'd been renting from Xfinity. I pay for 200M of bandwidth, but the Arris was only giving me 135M. After installing this Motorola, I'm getting 210M via my home wireless, and over 240M from my wired PC! I chose this Motorola over other co...see moreof the reviewer's review
