My husband and I regret having this monitor on our baby registry and wish we would have read all of the reviews. Do not be fooled by the 3/5 star review. Our baby is 6 months old and we have had nothing but problems since day one. As other reviews mention, the connection often drops, making us turn the monitor on and off again multiple times until we are able to get the video stream to return. For $125+ device, we expected a better quality monitor. Additionally, the battery life can be short; however, we do not mind this as much as the connection issues.

Hello Kirstin, I am sorry to hear this. Normally, a new battery should last 1-2 hours in video mode and 3-4 hours in audio mode. As for the connectivity issue with the second camera, please have in mind that in order to use your parent and baby unit together, there must a radio link between them, and the range of that link may be affected by environmental conditions. Disconnects Constantly

Like the other reviews said, it disconnects constantly (both the monitor and via my phone) without any reason. In the first week I had to completely re-register the camera 3 times in a row. The next week I had to unplug and plug the camera back in twice in a row. All of these times were right after I got my kid down for a nap and I had to sneak back in his room to fix the camera. The battery life for the monitor while in video mode is terrible and starts decreasing battery bars after 10 minutes. The volume also isn’t the loudest. Invest in a monitor that you can actually use!

One of the worst purchases we have ever made....ever. The picture and connection goes out constantly causing the monitor to beep loudly as the screen goes white. It happens anytime during the night, so when you are sleep deprived because of a newborn baby this monitor will actually make your life worse and interrupt your sleep. As others have said, there is no good way to mount it as it was poorly designed for that. The picture isn't great and battery life is nothing special either. DO NOT BUY this piece of garbage and I would also add DO NOT BUY MOTOROLA because their software is garbage.

WASTE OF MONEY

This monitor is terrible. Half of the time the monitor won't connect to the camera. The app almost never works. The video will freeze. The monitor has randomly shut off on me entirely despite the battery being full or plugged in. I don't feel safe using this monitor! The company will tell you how sorry they are and guide you on how to reset the camera and monitor. I have multiple times and nothing has gotten any better. It seems like everyone has the same experience. It's clearly just a bad product. Don't waste your money.

I can echo the same issues of others. There is no easy way to mount this to get a good view and the tilt function isn’t helpful to alleviate that. Second, the connection to my phone app disables every single day, multiple times a day, for no apparent reason. I have great wifi connection. If I ever wanted to view the crib while a babysitter was there, for example, I would have no faith in this product that my app would work when most needed. Also, the battery life is incredibly short. Would never recommend. Hard to believe that a product this expensive is this inadequate for the job it’s meant to perform.

This monitor is awful and such a waste of money. It is soooo blurry especially at night. You cannot see anything. My baby just looks like a blob. I would never recommend this brand to anyone!!! Awful. Don’t purchase!

To reset the monitor: Disconnect the battery pack of the parent unit and unplug both the units’ electrical power, leave the battery out for at least 15 minutes and then place the battery again and plug both units back in. To reset the camera: You can do this by turning off the camera, pressing and holding the pair button, turn on the camera until you hear a beep. After this, you can attempt to repair the camera to the parent unit. Flaw in mounting

Got this as a gift and didn't set it up until 2 months later after throwing away the box. My mistake. Our problem is the camera has to be far away in order to get the full crib. That being said, there's no easy way to mount it in order to get full crib view. The camera doesn't tilt down far enough and by the point you do get full view, you can barely see what baby is doing in the crib. The bottom on the stand only has one screw hole and no material that comes with it. I feel like this is a major design flaw.

I don’t ever write reviews but all I have to say is do not waist your money on this monitor! Highly disappointed since Motorola is usually a brand you can rely on but not with this device. We’ve only used this monitor for 3 months and now the video keeps cutting out! It’ll cut out for 10-15 minutes and then come back on for about 5 minutes and then cut out again. Sometimes it randomly restarts itself too. It’s plugged in so it’s not a battery issue. What’s the point of a “video” monitor when there’s no video. Steer clear of this monitor, not worth the price. Also you can forget trying to sync it. My husband and I both tried on our phones and it never would sync. Save yourself the money and headache and don’t buy this monitor.
