  • A: Hi. We purchased this a couple weeks ago. Just wanted to correct, there really isn’t an auto shut off feature. Once your coffee brews it is either keeping warm in your carafe or you are enjoying the single cup…wondering if arm up and sip is really considered exercise in the morning? But really, there is no burner to shut off and once it’s finished brewing it beeps to alert you.

Don’t waste your time or money, I’ve gone through two of them because I exchanged the first one after a week of disappointment, and yes just like a lot of other reviewers mentioned, IT LEAKS… I’ve woken up to large puddles because for no known reason the tank likes to just randomly empty all over the counter. I said no more, and opted for leaving it empty and only filling the amount of water I’m using in the moment but it doesn’t like that either and continues to give me an “add water” error, even when I put water in. So I’ve given up… to the trash it goes where it belongs.

Mine worked fine for about 10 months and then I woke up to a large puddle of water on my kitchen floor. It was hit or miss for about a month and then started leaking every day. I can't use the delay brew at all and have to put a folded towel under the unit to use it at all. I loved the stainless steel carafe but the brew machine is crap. There is no way to check the tubing as the screws won't budge. Don't bother with this one.

Take 3, doesn't work again

So disappointing - 8 months ago
This is the 3rd machine that has gone out. It will not work on demand. Half of the display is not working again. This is so disappointing. I loved Mr. Coffee machines and this has just made it very difficult to continue with this product. I love the stainless pot and the kcup feature. But this is the 3rd time that it has stopped working.

Afterwards, plug it into a different wall outlet. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips and power converters or inverters as it may affect the coffee maker's performance. Also, make sure that all parts and accessories are properly inserted. Otherwise, it might cause the product not to work properly. If your coffee maker is not brewing, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non-working outlet. For a possible fix, we advise you to try resetting your coffeemaker by completely emptying the water reservoir and leaving the coffee maker unplugged for 5 minutes. You may also check the troubleshooting steps below: - Plug the unit into a different wall outlet to ensure that the unit is receiving enough power. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips, and power converters or inverters as it may affect the coffee maker's performance. - Insert the filter basket correctly. - Place the decanter correctly. - Add the desired amount of coffee. - Also, try cleaning the coffee maker with a vinegar solution if it hasn't been cleaned recently. YES it LEAKS!!

The ability to switch between pods or a filter basket is great, but MINE IS LEAKING, TOO. Notice I said, too....as this seems to be an issue MANY are having. I have visible water damage on my wall, drawers, and baseboards!!! In the market to replace, asap. Which is a shame because the higher pod ounces and lower carafe cup otions were perfect.

For a possible fix, please check the hose in the reservoir, make sure it is snug on connection. Also, check the filter basket for any drips down the back of the basket onto the trip arm and warming plate. Ensure to use medium grounds and make sure that the water is not exceeding the max line in the water reservoir. Lastly, please run a cleaning cycle into it if the machine hasn't been cleaned recently. Your Mr. Coffee® Single-Serve & Programmable Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker has a 1-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd like to kindly request that you contact us directly in order to help you get to the best resolution. Have a good day!

This coffee pot leaks every single day! Such a mess as I have butcher block countertops! Not good. Makes good, hot coffee and I love the pod or pot feature though. Just wish it didn’t leak.

Just here to confirm this coffee pot leaks water you can’t program it to brew at a certain time because by the time you wake up all the water will have leaked out of the back

Leaks

Started leaking after just 3 months. I went to take it apart to fix the leak, and they have security screws on the darn thing! so the only way I'm going to be able to fix it is to cut a hole in the side. straight junk. this replaced an 8 year old black and decker model that worked great. what a waste of money.

Mr Coffee Duo

We really wanted a duo coffee maker and thought we had found the one. It worked great for about a week and a half then quit turning on. I looked up troubleshooting and did as instructed reset etc…still didn’t work had to return. Now I’m skeptical of buying another especially with all of the other reviews having problems with leaking. Can’t have that on wooden countertops. Such a bummer:(

If your coffee maker is not turning on, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non working outlet. To remedy this issue, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the coffee brewer and let it rest for 3-5 minutes. Plug the unit into a different wall outlet and see if it will work. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips and power converters or inverters as it may affect the coffee maker's performance. Your Mr. Coffee® Single-Serve & Programmable Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker has a 1-year limited warranty. Stays warm

This is my 2nd one. Liked the first one so much that I bought my husband a second one. Stays warm a long time. Makes great coffee and its awesome having the single cup option also. The only issue I have is the price is high.
