Cool in theory, but not for finer hair or smaller sections of hair. The suction wasn’t quite enough no matter how hard we tried to keep the hair in place to use it. My 7 year definitely cannot do this on her own, which is unfortunate because the concept was cool.

Very hard to use, no child could do this by themselves. It was basically me setting it up while she played elsewhere. Hard to get tight on the hair. The vacuum to suck the hair is garbage. No suction at all. Would not buy again and thinking of returning.

Literally the worst thing I’ve ever bought. Tried to get it set up correctly for an eternity… only for it to look like absolute garbage when it was done. Returning it asap

Cannot stress enough to pull the string tight while completing the bead separation. Definitely not something a kid can use, so be prepared to assist. When done correctly it’s actually pretty cute. Takes a lot of patience, but my kid is happy.

My son really want it i said no but i changed my mine and said yes so I bought it and we were missing parts that was the important part and now we are going to return it now she is sad that we had to return this… DO NOT BUY IT!

Literal garbage. I’m left with a sad seven year old and a pile of cheap plastic. Super disappointing purchase. My suggestion, don’t buy. I’d return, but I threw away the box.

This purchase was absolutely horrible. Firstly,the INSANE amount of beads+their crazy packaging.Doesn’t look anything like in the pictures. My sister spent 2 days working on this only to get … NOTHING. You’re basically going to have a string stuck in your hair for ALL OF ETERNITY!!!

It is super hard to do and not as pictured. Also note that the box is very misleading. The bottom half is completely empty right under the cut out window when you’re led to believe it’s full of additional gems and beads. Do not buy!

I’d like to see the makers of this product use it. After seeing other reviews we all have same frustrations.

Absolutely horrible doesn’t stay in hair and so frustrating to even try to make the beads. A lot of this brands items are kinda hard to figure out, bad directions but this one had to be the worst yet. RETURNED

So much fun! My best friend's twins had the greatest time gemming their hair! This is the perfect gift for any kid that is interested in jazzing up their hair. It is a fantastic safe alternative to adult hair tools for kids that interested in using styling tools.

The real sparkling gem air styler by My Look, isn’t what I expected. It’s very difficult to use. Was more of a hassle and a headache, causing much frustration than anything. It’s hard to get hair in tube and even more of a hassle getting the string and beads to stay on hair. Just ended up with multiple knots and tangles.

This girls hair tool toy has become the greatest thing ever. It’s easy to use and a breeze to teach the girls how to help each other out doing it. I am amazed how great it makes her hair look and she says it’s her favorite hair tool now.

Me and my daughter think this is very cute and great gift idea. The problem that made me give it three stars was the bead placement on the hair. We followed instructions and when you place the beads on the hair it didn’t look nice. The string is very noticeable and it wasn’t tight enough around the hair.

Not sure if it’s just me, but I couldn’t really get it to work. I think I need more practice. Opening the package was difficult, there were clear clips (like clothing tags) in a bunch of places that were hard to remove, and shook all the beads around trying to cut them off. It would have been easier if the beads were in sealed pouches instead of in an open container. I tried to look at a video of how to use it on the Cra-Z-Art page but couldn’t find one. The instructions were easy enough, I just felt a little confused at times. I don’t think I wrapped the beads tight enough on the tube, and I spaced them too far apart. I’ll need to try again. It’s nice that the styler came pre-charged but you will need your own micro usb charger. I’ll need to try this again with my nieces. I really like the idea behind it, I just need more practice I think.

Just don’t. Listen to the other 1 star reviews. Every step of this is frustrating. To the way it’s packaged with tiny little plastic tags that make it impossible to unpackage without beads flying everywhere. To putting the beads on the string onto the tube. And then trying to put hair into the tool. For it to not even stay in my daughters hair. Took about 30 very frustrating mins. And in no way could a younger kid do this on their own.

I’m Not really sure how this was supposed to workout. It’s Bit messy and as probably expected, does not work as clearly as the pictures. It can’t be done without help and some supervision. It would pass unless you like a good experiment

The Cra-Z-Art My Look Real Air Styler Craft Activity Kit allows you to create sparkling styles in your hair using a battery-powered mini vacuum gun that draws in a piece of hair to allow a strand of a rubber tie with various charms to wrap around it. The kit includes everything you need to get started, including the styler, hair clips, hair tie line, a bead/charm threader and various beads/charms. The instructions are easy enough to follow. It’s not that difficult to figure out how the threader and the air styler work. The only drawback I saw in the instructions was that they gave a length to cut the rubber tie band to start and that really only works for longer hair. Someone with shorter hair needs a smaller cut so that when they pull the strand off the air styler tube and onto the hair lock it needs to stretch out along the length of the hair piece to sit tightly. This also is ideal for older children or an adult and a younger child. My daughter is 8 and would not be able to use this on her own but she loved every single step of making this so I guess that is all that counts.

I received this hair styler for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! Made of excellent quality materials, sturdy and resistant, lightweight and beautifully designed, it is the perfect hair styling tool (toy) for her. She can spend hours doiher hair and letting her creativity fly with new styles and colors. Itbis a jiy see ver so happy!
