Overall, pretty good. My kids really enjoy playing with it. The "light" on it is really cheesy and pointless. There is no cover for the makeup, so there's no good way to store it. The makeup is very subtle, which is good for our purposes as a toy, but definitely not bold colors.
this product should not be on the market...when it came I read the back and it has a chemical called titanium dioxide which inhaled or absorbed in the skin can cause neurological problems or lung cancer, so I decided not to return it, cut throw it out and not give it to my granddaughter I thought this should be known to anyone buying this
Listen, I knew I wasn’t buying high quality makeup when I bought the set. But this was worse than I could have ever expected. Every single swatch of color is thick wax, like cheap lipstick. Blush? Try again, that’s definitely cheap, waxy lipstick. Eyeshadow? Consistent with that of a slobbery Now and Later. Lipstick? You mean surfboard wax. My daughter has been using cheesy kids makeup for years and this is the first time she has ever broke out in a rash from play makeup. Also, the light on the vanity is absolutely obnoxious - it flashes bright colors instead of a soft white light for children to see themselves better with in the mirror. No idea what the company was thinking. Straight to the trash.
The kit itself is very pretty and my daughter loves the mirror and presentation, but the makeup is very much so “play” makeup. It doesn’t show up on her skin (she’s 7 and fair skin), and it also doesn’t show up on my 4 years old’s skin. They were pretty disappointed when the beautiful colors in the palette didn’t show up on their eyes, cheeks, lips, etc.
It is more like stage cake-makeup, but that is what other reviews said. My daughter loves it. She is 5. She is flying through it quickly, but I think that it was worth the purchase if you have a make-up obsessed kid. The makeup came off her face pretty easily....and mine as she HAD to put it on me.
