The new smooth taste, or recipe is less effective. Taste, I could deal with it be worse but thinner or watered down, no. I've tried all flavors and all are weaker.

I wish they would leave out the xanthan gum as it creates stomach pain for me and bloating defeating the purpose. Some of us can't take it.

It's beyond me why the tried and true aluminum hydroxide ingredient would be exchanged for calcium carbonate of all things. This has resulted in a weaker product with a shorter acting period. This change has effectively turned the legacy Mylanta formula into a liquid version of Tums. Also, unlike aluminum hydroxide, calcium carbonate forms CO2 on contact with stomach acid which further aggrivates symptoms of gas. This does not make sense. The generic store brands are much better in comparison.

I'm so sad that my favorite solution to occasional heartburn has been modified. I LIKED the taste of Mylanta! I waited years, faithfully, when it was off the market. I was thrilled when it returned. But now, the "better tasting" change is nauseating. How could you mess up a perfect product? Some goofy focus group? I have to use HEB's imitation which tastes close to your original product (but is not as effective.). PLEASE--GIVE US THE ORIGINAL AS AN OPTION! I feel like I should warn people....I can't recommend Mylanta until there's an option to avoid the "better taste."

I have gerd and have used mylanta for years. It saved my life seriously!! I’m so bummed they changed the formula.. I really gave it a chance and it just simply doesn’t work like the previous formula.

New formula does taste better, but now doesn’t work like it used too. The active ingredients have changed. Also the consistency of it is so thick, it’s like slime. What a waste of money.

I love the taste and the smoothness it has going down and how fast it works. I always buy the Classic flavor. I just have 1 problem the bottle does not have an expiration day on the last bottle I brought and I do not remember when I brought so how can I tell when it is bad?

I have GI issues and Mylanta was always my go to for taste, texture, and relief. Now? I think they changed the formula completely. It's now gelatinous, the taste is terrible, and doesn't work as well. Please bring back the old formula.

The new flavor of the "Classic" formula makes it very difficult to take. The previous Classic flavor was neutral, and did interfere with the heightened gag reflex of a person with acid or indigestion. This new flavor is more reminiscent of food items which is the last thing you want if you need to take an antacid. People at work really need to wake up. Until then, I will have to use generic store brands.

I have serve heartburn due to pregnancy. The new formula does not work at all. The taste is weaker, which makes you really taste and feel the chalky-ness of the formula. It is not any where near as thick, which, in turn, does not coat and soothe the way it used to. Definitely have to find something new that is pregnancy safe and does the job.

I have used mylanta for over 20 years and it has always been my go to stomach medicine OTC. Until now that they’ve changed it. I was kind of excited- like maybe it would taste better. It doesn’t taste better, it’s worse. But most of all, it doesn’t help my stomach issues like it used to. It doesn’t feel like it coats it at all now. I was up all night with my stomach, mylanta usually helps with that. Not with this new formula. Very disappointed as I have loved mylanta my whole life. Can you send me bottle of your old formula please? Seriously

I have been a longtime fan of Mylanta, the old formula was the only thing that could get me relief from my acid reflux. I just got a new bottle and I can say I am not impressed. It doesn't work nearly as well for me (if at all), and the taste and texture are not what I have come to expect and enjoy.
