Q: How can this have a gluten free label? It contains wheat grass and barley.

A: Hello, thank you for the inquiry. I reached out to the Quality Assurance team and this was their response: "The young grasses of these plants are not the same as the grains (that contain gluten) found when the plant matures. For this reason, the Food and Drug Administration will allow wheat or barley grass (or grass juice) as an ingredient in a labeled gluten-free product as long as the final product contains <20 parts per million gluten. We also tested our finished products to ensure it is meeting the “gluten-free” claim requirement (<20 ppm gluten) from the government agency." I hope this answers your question. Have a great day!

Love, love love the ingredients, no bad oils and no bad preservatives. Taste is mild, but sneaky and super addictive. I'm not sure what's in it that my body craves but I can eat a whole bag of this and have a hard time stopping so I make sure I'm on my diet to even have this in the house!
How is this gluten free with barley grass in it?

Glad I read the ingredients. I was excited to try this until I was shocked to see barley grass on the back of the package’s ingredients list. I cannot eat this product. Celiacs count on accuracy in labeling. This product is not gluten free with barley in it. Do better, Nature’s Path and Target!

If our product is labelled as Gluten Free, that means we have tested it to make sure it conforms to our standards of a maximum detectable limit of 10 parts per million. Barley grass itself does not contain gluten provided there are no barley grains/seeds in it. We have tested the final product to ensure that it is gluten free as per the federally regulated labelling standards.

I really did not like the chalky greens flavor. I'm a huge fan of unsweetened green smoothies so I thought it'd be fine. I couldn't even eat it. A lot of people seem to like it though so many try it? The ingredients aren't terrible.

Probably my new favorite granola! Sweet but not too sweet. Good crunch and not too hard. Has a slightly earthier taste than most other granolas because of the super greens in it but it’s not overpowering. The bag says vegetarian and not vegan because it does have honey in it. But if you’re okay with honey being the only non-vegan ingredient, I’d definitely snag a bag!

This is by far the best granola EVER! I love it! I literally eat this every day mixed with skyr and topped with fresh blueberries. I also just like to munch on it as is. Love this stuff!
