Exactly what my son (7 yrs) wanted for his first Nerf gun. He wanted to be able to manage it while running and playing, and so he picked this one for the size and moderate dart capacity. He was easily able to figure it out, and hasn't come to ask for assistance yet, which is great. I ordered 2, plus extra darts, so he could play with his sister (10), or friends, and they've been great purchases so far.
Got it brand new and is an excellent price. It is good for all beginners. I got this one as one of my first nerf guns. I got many more other guns but this gun is still one of my favorites, besides the strong arm. It’s my sister’s favorite, and even my Mom wants one for her birthday. It is really fun to use.
We have a bunch of these and we routinely use them for our Nerf battles and even make sure at least a couple are available to guests when they came over. The price is great, they've been reliable, and aren't too difficult for most kids to use. I would say anyone under 6 might have trouble charging this blaster, and even more so for 4 and 5 year olds, but that's Nerf in general and these are recommended for ages 8 and up. If you want multiple shots, easy load, easy charge and super affordable, this is an ideal and fun blaster to have.
