Q: how does the water machine work? the pics show a hose, but it fades out of existence after a few feet. does the machine run on the hose or is it powered by shooting water at it? does it run on both?

The RoboBlaster is powered by connecting to a hose, and cannot be powered by shooting water at it. Each RoboBlaster comes with 1 quick release hose connector, and 1 on/off water control valve. It doesn’t work. We tried to hit the target for a while the only way that the target will tip over is by using a water hose with the strongest pressure. Do not buy this.

It wasn’t what we expected. More water comes out from the bottom then anything. The targets fall of every time you hit them. Cheaply made to be honest. Better off buying a sprinkler.

With warmer weather arriving, I picked up one of these for the kiddos. In short - awesome! They love teaming up to shoot the targets, but I can't lie my little one also loves exacting revenge on her older brother by taking control of it and using it as a manned turret to spray him. One note on some of the other reviews - the unit leaks some water out of the bottom, but in looking at the instructions this is intentional to avoid water pressure buildup. Overall 5 stars, another amazing product from Nerf Super Soaker - going to be a fun (and wet) summer!

My son loves it but half the water comes out of the bottom. I don’t think he will care since he will play with it when it’s hot but I totally noticed how much water leaked out of the bottom as soon as we turned it on.
