A: Thanks for your question, sunscreenbabe. The FDA issued guidelines around the definition of nanotechnology. We believe our sunscreens do not fall under this definition. Rest assured, extensive scientific evaluations of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide in sunscreens have shown that they do not penetrate human skin and the FDA agrees that these ingredients are safe.

Q: Non-zinc version of Ultra Sheer Dry Touch leaves a white powdery film after its dried on my black tennis skirts requiring me to wash each usage. Will the zinc version of this sunscreen do the same?

It does leave a white cast. A little less so than some other sunscreens I've tried, but enough (even under makeup) to make it not really workable for me. But the worse characteristic, for me, was the smell. It smelled like ... a tire? I looked at reviews of this same product on another site to see if anyone else reported something similar. Someone said it smells like burned rubber. I wouldn't say it's a strong smell, but it's noticeable and makes me wonder about the ingredients.

The best “face” sunscreen I’ve used. I have always had a problem with sunscreens being too oily and running into my eyes once I start to sweat. This is the ONLY one I’ve ever tried that doesn’t do this. I’ve tried a handful of other brands who claim they have a specific sunscreen for the face, and they all run into my eyes once I start sweating. The only downside is this leaves your face with a white paste look and is difficult to rub in to where you don’t have the white tint on your face. Not a deal breaker, but that’s why I gave it 4 stars.

This product doesn’t break me out and I have hormonal acne with dry combo skin. It can be a bit difficult to rub in if you haven’t just applied moisturizer. The white cast isn’t awful, but sometimes if I apply too much it’ll crease on my eyelids

It works great on my face, no breakouts or irritation. I wear it all day. It's a little thick for my taste, I prefer more of a lotion than a solid. I usually wear Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Face Liquid Sunscreen but I can't find any on sale. If this product is going to replace the Sensitive Skin product please thin it down.

This feels great on my face, almost like a moisturizer. As a matter of fact, I've been omitting my moisturizer lately because this works just as well. This has zinc which is highly suggested. Been using this daily and have no negative side effects, no breakouts, no rash, nothing. I highly recommend this for your face. Does it leave a white residue, yes, but I'm not complaining. It works wonders.

Absolutely awful product. Does not blend into my skin tone whatsoever (despite the fact that I'm fair) and the product dries extremely fast, making it super difficult to spread evenly over the skin. It also settled into the lines on my face and is difficult to wash off. Complete waste of money.
