Effective against sun burn!
I prefer the hydroboost line, which I feel really obsorbs into my skin. This I can feel on my skin all day. But that said, I haven’t burned yet this summer! Got a nice tan going and even though you should reapply throughout the day, it’s worked well if I just apply it right before peak UV for the day.

It goes on sheer, but does not stay sheer!
Used on my neck/ chest and while it went on, she initially, after a while, it started to create white lines in my neck creases that people actually noticed and commented on, which was so embarrassing! It also did not last all day and I still got a light sunburn with my fair skin!

Oily
I use another Neutrogena products and love it, but with this one, when I try to use it, it's a stream of oil comes out. I try shaking it and it is still thin and oily. After spending so much on the product, I will have to throw it away. I Definitely do not recommend .

eye irritant
Due to the extreme eye inflamation i will not use this ever again. it works for a sunscreen but hours of eye pain is not worth it. the formula needs to be adjusted because there is something that is causing the problem.

DISAPPOINTED with product
VerVery disappointed in Neutrogena alter sheer dry touch sunscreen. I purchased on a Monday Tuesday used it and the oil and this ingredients separated. Made it extremely runny check the expiration date, expiration date was good. I hope I can return it. I don’t have the receipt.

Favorite face/neck sunscreen
I love this sunscreen. I only use it on my face and neck - I think if I used it on my whole body I would go through it so fast due to the small size of the bottle. It makes my skin feel so soft. I’ve never had a sunscreen make my skin feel anything besides the gross greasy feeling. This makes me feel hydrated and it works so well. Other reviews mention it separates and is watery. I did noticed this happening when I didn’t use any for a week, so they aren’t wrong. But if I use it everyday I do not have that problem.

This sunscreen is okay, I have to return because when I wear it under my make up it starts to peel off and crumble my make up.

Not good for water
This melted down my face in water, causing my eyes to sting and turn red for hours. I don’t recommend this if you plan to be near water.

Product separates, unuseable
Smells fine but can’t speak to its effectiveness. Even after shaking vigorously, product had separated. Watery liquid came out, or was grainy and extra watered down. Would not recommend.

I feel like the formula has changed. I’ve been using this for many years. I just bought a bottle today. I followed the directions. I got burnt. I’ve never gotten burnt previously with this brand. The formula completely dried out my skin and left a weird residue on everything. I do not recommend this product at all! Very disappointed.

Love it
I see some complaints about it being greasy and/or leaving a white reside. I haven’t had this problem. It feels good on my face. Maybe the greasy or white residue happens if you use too much product. It took only a pea sized amount to cover my face. I’ll be buying this again.

there is nothing “sheer” or “dry” about it, it leaves this awful white cast, it gets all over my clothes, and i feel it on my skin. this is one of the worst sunscreens i’ve ever used. the picture i included is what happens when you touch your clothes anytime after application 🤦🏻♀️

Not dry at all very oily
The consistency is very oil and you can see the oil SEPARATION from the sunblock ingredients even after shaking. Because of how oily it is it spills out uncontrollably. After applying it, it doesn’t dry out. I had to use those oil paper to dab on my face but realiZed it was a waste because there was just way too much oil. The old formula was not like this. So no i have to use a paper towel to dab my whole face to get most of the oil out.
