I had another Point & Shoot COOLPIX Nikon for over 10 years (only was 10 mpxl) and it took the best very clear DETAILED up-close (macro?) photos for a small camera until the "AA" battery case cover finally didn't stay closed any more. I used that old COOLPIX DAILY for up-close, indoors, or outdoors...see moreof the reviewer's review
Wish it came with better instructions.

The camera takes good picutres but is a little hard to us. I wish it came with better moer detailed instructions. I also tried to download instructions but got tha same instructions tha came with it.

Solid, reliable. Auto stable rescues my shot, helps on zoom. I quit shooting twice on everything because it's good on the first. ViewNXi editor makes me crazy as the image closes, reopens, with each adjustment. I had two prior Coolpix, so I know the buttons.
