Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D Prime Lens - Black - image 1 of 1

About this item

The compact and lightweight Nikon AF Nikkor Prime lens is a great choice for travel, portrait, sports and general photography. It offers a minimum focusing distance of 1.5'. The Nikon 50 lens has a fast f/1.8 aperture that blurs the background (bokeh) to creatively highlight the subject. It also lets you capture clear photographs in low-light conditions. In the Live View shooting mode, you can use the aperture control ring to manually focus the lens. Plus, it has a rotating zoom system. This Nikkor lens has a Super Integrated coating, which reduces ghosting and flaring. Its filter has a 52.0 mm diameter. This moisture-resistant lens comes with a lens cap for added protection. It weighs about 5.5 oz, so you can easily carry it with you wherever you go.

Although I am a complete amateur, this lens is very easy to use. I was looking for a good portrait lens that would allow good light in those low light situations that you didn't want to use a flash. This was exactly what I was looking for. Great to hard focus on subject with soft focus background wi...see moreof the reviewer's review

This is really a great lens. Unfortunately, Target doesn't have a clue. Target lists the "zoom range" of this prime lens as "70-200mm". LOL! They also state that the filter size is 55mm - it is not. This lens uses 52mm filters. [...].see moreof the reviewer's review

I received this lens as a hand-me-down from a friend and even though I have newer lenses it has become my go-to lens. It's fast and sharp and never lets me down.see moreof the reviewer's review

I was excited to get this lens and shoot, but I soon discovered that the auto focus function is NOT supported with my Nikon D5500. I had to extensively Google it, instead of seeing it and avoiding purchasing in the products specs. Disappointed, I wasted my time and money.see moreof the reviewer's review

I found this lens was incompatible (for autofocus) with my Nikon D3100. Unfortunately, there is no information on the website to warn you about this; the specifications do not mention it. I am now faced with having to find a Nikon camera which is compatible with the lens! However, without any inform...see moreof the reviewer's review
