Disappointment

I bought this camera in order to take time interval photos [which in the user manual (page 64) clearly said..."Capture still images at specified intervals and SAVE them to create a fast motion movie" In real life there's no such option of "capture and save" - it's only possible to get the Timelap...see moreof the reviewer's review

I bought this camera on release as i am a huge Nikon fan. I wanted a action camera to take scuba diving with me and GO PRO had not announced the 5 yet(still would not have bought it if they did). On reading the early description before release i was very interested in the fact the camera is water pr...see moreof the reviewer's review

fps is a lie, it shoots 240 then cuts the audio and auto slows it down to 30. the field of view is not changeable, and it has not been updated since its release. it has almost no videos on it and seems to be swept under the rug by everyone. it has no lens protection other than an underwater flat ...see moreof the reviewer's review

Great Camera (Coming from a Canon guy)

4 out of 5 stars

I got this camera for Christmas and so far, I love using it. The 4-star rating comes from the quality of the picture, the width of the lens, and how fun it is to play with. The lack of a 5th star comes from the App functionality, (though I hear it is being addressed) and the battery charge. Also...see moreof the reviewer's review

I'm very frustrated, I received this Camera as a Christmas Gift. Was awesome for about 40 minutes and it ran out of battery. I followed the instructions and plugged it in for about three hours and came back only to find out that it hasn't held a charge at all. Decided to try it on a couple of differ...see moreof the reviewer's review

The promo video is great, but the camera lacks good quality attachments

I just purchased this unit along with Nikon D750. The promo video caught my attention, however when I began to read the manual and look at the accessories or better said lack of accessories when compared to the GO PRO series. Nikon appears to be still in the process of developing this system. If Nik...see moreof the reviewer's review

Bad audio quality for the price

The picture quality is good as well as the video at 4K except at low-light. There is so much hissing sound in the video recording that is very annoying even if VR is on/off and wind noise reduction is on. No adjustment for the mic to compensate this noise by adjusting the gain. Mobile devices have s...see moreof the reviewer's review

Pro's: Beautifully constructed. Delivers crisp and detailed video & still photo's. Stabilization feature works very well. The 170 is a really good camera!
