Q: should the bottom part on the coffee maker get warm to keep the coffee warm? mine doesn't... had it less than a yr.

A: No, the Ninja Hot & Iced Coffee Maker - CM305 does not have a warming plate as the thermal insulated carafe keeps the coffee hot. The carafe can be prewarmed by pouring hot water into the carafe and then emptying the water before brewing. Ensure that the Brew-through lid is screwed on completely to prevent heat from escaping. Some temperature loss after 2 hours is normal.

Q: When brewing, this produces so much steam. Is this normal? I have never had a coffee pot produce steam like this while this is brewing a pot. I cannot keep this under a cabinet on my counter.

We have bought two in the span of 2/3 years and each one has stopped working after 1 year. These aren’t cheap so it sucks it only works for 1 year. For as much as we clean it, the makers always on red. It’s easy to use but sucks the lifespan is so short

We previously owned a Ninja coffee maker that worked well and we liked the insulated pot and being able to select the amount to brew; cup, half pot or pot, and the removable water reservoir. Bought the new one based on these likes. The problem we found with this new one is the water required to make a half pot is more than the measurements. It takes 32 ounces of water to fill the reservoir to the half pot measurement but only takes 20 ounces to fill from a half pot to the full mark. If you fill the reservoir to the half pot mark it will make the entire 32 ounces. So if you start with a full reservoir it will make 32 ounces of coffee on the first half pot but only leave 20 ounces of water for the second half pot. With a full reservoir you should get 26 ounces for each half pot. On our previous Ninja coffee maker the markings were equal. Strange but true.

I have tried for the past month to attempt to get the coffee to taste decent. I was extemely excited to not have to use pods to make my coffee as it is better for the enviroment & I was also thrilled to have the option for iced and hot coffee. There are a few issues, first, the coffee is incredibly weak... I am using the amount in the scope as required, however, even on the rich setting it is mostly lukewarm water with a plastic taste as well. I really loved the variety of options with this coffee maker, however, it has not provided a great coffee experience.

We are a 3-4 pots of coffee a day a family. Luckily we realized how bad the coffee pot was in time to return it for our money back. The so called insulted carfe didn't keep the coffee warm. Says it brews 12 cups, only brews 10 and left the other two cups in the water storage. The coffee also had a weird taste to it. Not from our preference of coffee we buy. we actual brewed the same coffee in another coffee maker to make sure it wasn't the coffee grounds that tasted bad. Ninja should stick to blenders thier coffee makers are sub-par.

Machine stopped working after eight months! I did not like the machine from the beginning g because the pot only stays hot for so long. There is nothing to heat the pot to get it to stay hotter longer. Now, it does not make coffee after you push the start button. Waste of money!

I got this coffee machine after yet another Keurig machine broke. I love that I can make single-serve coffee without the pods. You can either use the metal filter or buy paper #4 cone filters. I like paper filters for ease of cleaning. Makes delicious coffee in many sizes. Works great!

I discovered iced coffee and my life is changed forever. Okay, not really but I love the machine so far. Fill the tank with water and the machine fills to the preset container size. Filling my travel mug in the morning is so easy and doing it directly saves time by not having to rinse out the pot. This is my 2nd Ninja coffee maker and the first one I would have given 2 stars, not a great design. They upped their game with this one.

Truly one of the best coffee makers I've ever owned. The settings are accurate, the coffee comes out super hot, and it's fairly easy to keep clean. The double wall carafe keeps coffee hot for at least an hour if not more. The drip stop and iced coffee options are awesome. The flip down shelf for making single cups of coffee is probably the feature I use the most. I've had the unit for almost 3 years and I've never had a single issue.

This was my 2nd one of these. My last one lasted 2 years and when it would only give the clean error ninja wouldn't replace. I loved it so much I bought another but it gave the clean error after one month. It's not possible to get to the small tubes inside that are apparently clogged. Cleaning solutions don't work. Ninja doesn't stand behind their product and I give up and am trying to find another brand.

I decided to make the switch from my Keurig and regret it. I really liked this coffee maker at first. Then after about 5 months it started to be super inconsistent. One day I’d have a good cup of coffee, then next it was brown water. Ninja customer service did replace it with a new machine for a $20 shipping fee. I had the new machine 2 weeks when it started doing the same thing. Again contacted Ninja. This time they sent me a new base. Still not getting a good cup of coffee. Obviously the model has issues. I’m giving up and looking for a new machine. Bottom line: don’t waste your money on this.

Works great if you drink all the coffee fairly quickly. The thermal carafe keeps the coffee warm for a little while and there is no burner to keep the carafe warm. I don’t want to just throw it away, but I’m tempted.
