Its great for about 100+ hours of smash, but then the A button becomes the loudest button ive ever heard and slightly begins to stick. Also the directional stick tops become prone to slickness after about that much time. I wish this controller was more durable on the small things. The housing is pretty solid, and the cable is great. Button layout is NGC but shoulder buttons are different, yet i think its an improvement If you need something for a friend that visits every so often then this would be good to have or as a backup controller.
This Controller is awesome. Dont get me wrong! I would love to use it but the constantly randomly inputs i get are making it unuseable. If i just use the left stick i get an "A" input. Makes it playing Smash competetive unuseable
So far, I've been enjoying the controller. It's feels like a GameCube controller with two z buttons! And the fact that it works for games that aren't smash is even better! The only problem I have with it, is the fact that the c stick is so frail. I treat it the same way as I treat all my other controllers. That seems to be a consistent problem with any product related to the switch, so it might just be the system. But so far two out of three of my controllers have a c stick problem.
I bought 2 of these and they both have the same issue in Smash Ultimate: moving around with the left joystick will send out attacks sometimes. This makes the controller unusable. Very disappointed. I suspect it is because the controller is poorly made, and thus the inputs are mapped too closely together. Do not waste your money on this controller.
I got this for christmas in 2018 for smash bros and I have had a blast with it except one problem. The problem is that when plugged in the home button flashes for a bit and then stops and it wont work. Thats my only problem with this controller so far.
I do not recommend this controller. Sometimes it randomly inputs 'A' when you're just using the stick, and other times it delays or fails on C-stick input. In Smash Brothers Ultimate, gets you killed a lot. Definitely a let down.
