Q: can nivea in shower lotion be used in the bath as well as the shower
submitted by ready for vacation - 7 years ago
A: Hi, Vegas baby. We recommend applying this lotion in the shower, rinsing, then wiping down the tub with a towel to avoid slipping.

Summary of reviews
The in-shower lotion is praised for its convenience and effectiveness in moisturizing skin, especially during winter months. Guests appreciate its ease of use and the time it saves compared to traditional lotions. However, the scent is a significant drawback for many, with some describing it as unpleasant or overpowering. Despite this, the product is generally well-received for its moisturizing properties.

This is surprisingly effective. I was skeptical honestly, especially since the bottle says you don’t need to leave it on or wait for any amount of time. Just rub some onto your skin then rinse it off after. It genuinely left me feeling moisturized.
Genius invention

I LOVE the in shower lotions. Keeps me moisturized for a full 24 hours and saves me a time after showering. Does exactly what it says it will. The smell on this one is very perfumey. I prefer the cocoa butter one but both get the job done
Not moisturizing BUT

It smells nice and feels good.. similar texture as the lotion. I like the concept but unfortunately it wasn’t moisturizing for me but it’s not a bad product. I’m still giving 4 stars because it’s not horrible.
Works great but slick shower

Love this in shower lotion, always hated putting lotion on after my shower, now I just put it on at the end of my shower, rinse and dry off, it has helped a lot with my dry skin. Easy to use, just be careful as it does make the tub slippery, I use a mat to stand on, which works perfectly.
Love the smell!!

I usually HATE putting on lotion! But I have very dry skin and psoriasis so I needed to try something! I have also tried the Jergens brand.. but I like this one more. I love the smell despite many reviews from others that hated it. I like to use this when I'm wet but not saturated. And I like to let my skin dry with it on so I don't dry off with a towel like the instructions say to. I plan on trying a Cruel brand when I run out of the bottle to see which one I like more.
Id rather buy regular lotion

I wouldn’t buy again. It isn’t terrible, but it isn’t necessarily how I want to smell. It’s like a very strong almond butter, but not sweet, if that makes sense. And I don’t really understand the concept

The concept is great but the odor is a huge negative. The company needs to work on this formula. I unfortunately wasted money on this one.

A fellow eczema sufferer recommended this to me years ago and I still use it. It does have a strong scent but that wears off quickly. This is not a lotion replacement but a lotion layer that helps your skin not to dry out. I use this in the shower and then apply lotion which lasts longer. Does not irritate my sensitive skin. Needs to be applied and rinsed in the shower.
Love it!

This is a must-have, especially in the summer. I get the itchiest, most irritated legs with both shaving and faux tanning. I always use this and never have that problem. Super-moisturizing and soothing. I even make sure to take it on vacations! The cocoa butter version is great too.

I have extremely dry skin especially on my legs and feet. During the summer they itch all time. I bought this and it made such a difference in my skin. I like adding it in the shower and going. My feet and legs have not itched once.

This product makes your skin very smooth and moisturized but smells like moth balls. I couldn't continue using it for that reason!

Why did I wait so long to try this after multiple midwest winters? Body lotion is uncomfortably sticky to me and I dislike the extra step, so I used to just deal with the dry skin. This in-shower lotion is so quick and easy to apply and leaves my skin feeling naturally soft with no residue or stickiness. It has a fairly generic scent with a mild amount of the almond oil which is a scent I like. It doesn't linger after applied. The texture is easy to squeeze out of the bottle and control how much comes out. It doesn't feel like lotion or body creams really, it's really its own texture. It reminds me of Korean essences that when applied mesh onto the skin without leaving stickiness. I'm a little split on how I feel about it having petrolatum in it, but it is what it is.

This stuff smells horrible, like bug spray. It does make my skin soft though, so I will finish the bottle. I will try something else whem it's gone and will not repurchase due to the smell.
