No gross residue and you can see the results straight out of the shower. Glued those split ends back together and added a lot of shine! It holds up for a while too. 4 stars only because for really dry hair like mine, it takes quite a bit of product. Overall, I love it!

It was really hard to wash it out of my hair and did not hydrate it but putting a thick coating over it. The scent was not bad but not my favorite. First time opening it exploded all over. It is great if you don’t care about just coating or extremely damage hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hair gloss didn't really do anything for me. I have 1A/1B hair that is extremely thick and tends to be a bit frizzy after washing. I typically use East Asian hair masks, which reduce the amount of frizz and make my hair glossy without making it too oily. Unfortunately, this gloss didn't really do any of that. My hair looked a little glossier, but not enough for me to feel amazed. It did pale in comparison to the other hair masks I use and have used in the past. It left my roots feeling a little oilier than usual and my hair was still quite frizzy and wiry after washing and air drying. The mask has a thick consistency and smells similar to salon products. It comes in a squeeze bottle. The bottle was another big gripe of mine, as it felt half full (when brand new) and took alot of intense squeezing to get an adequate amount out. It's not very disability friendly or ergonomic at all. Thankfully the bottle is easy to store. Perhaps this is better on other hair types, but it was a big flop for mine, unfortunately.

The bottle is super compact and great for traveling. My hair dries really fast after I am done showering. Which is great when you are on the go.

However, in the shower I feel if my hair tends to fall out and feels thinner though this may be due to current stress. Though I would avoid using this in the roots for my case just as I usually do with my conditioners. Either way, it is a very effective product and it smells very good too.
