Nauseating smell! I've used the Refreshing Dry Shampoo and thought I would try this one as it is Natural/Tapioca. Horrible smell, I couldn't stand it on my hair! Also, I don't feel the product worked as well, I felt like I had to spray much more on my hair and it still did not work. Returned and would not recommend this particular version. I'm going back to the Refreshing.
I wish wish wish this came in unscented. The fake vanilla smell is cloying and sticks around until you wash next (although my husband & 4 year old like to sniff my hair). It works for me; I have fine, thin hair that gets so oily at the roots. I spray, do my makeup, then brush it through to get rid of the oil & white residue. Yes, even after thoroughly brushing it does make my roots feel like I have 5 gallons of AquaNet in there, and it makes my sensitive scalp itchy (and sometimes causes pimples). For fine thin hair, shiny = greasy, so I don't mind the matte finish. Now that I'm writing this all out, this product seems to not be so great aside from how full & clean it makes my hair look.
not my favorite but not the worst dry shampoo I've used. obviously I use it as a last resort just like any other dry shampoo, so to be fair my hair is pretty rough at this point. I feel like this does a decent job at reducing oil at my roots but it doesn't help my hair to look any better. I find I almost always put my hair up when I use this which kind of defeats the point. also, the scent is strong---very fake vanilla. way too strong a scent for me but I am sensitive to scents.
I've tried most drugstore dry shampoos, and this is probably the best bang for the buck (at its current price of $3). It makes my hair feel a bit grittier than Batiste, and doesn't produce as much volume as Dove. It doesn't leave any telltale whiteness once you've brushed it out and the 'warm sugar' scent is pleasant but not overpowering.
I always pick up this dry shampoo in the travel size to keep in my bag throughout the day because I am always on the go. Unfortunately, this product did not impress me. It makes my hair much more greasy than it is and does not add volume to my hair. Very counterproductive. The scent gives my hair a weird smell too. I am really disappointed because I really wanted to love this product.
I have severely oily hair. Ive tried every brand from batiste to bumble & bumble. There is a bit of a white cast so you will have to make sure it is brushed through if you have darker hair. Other than that I love it for helping with my oily roots. It doesn’t make my hair feel dirty or gritty. It gives me some volume as well and I love the smell! I’d youre not a fan of vanilla smells you might not like it.
