This really worked for me! I’m not very consistent, but if I were, it would be even better. Some of the negative reviews are people not using this correctly! It should be removed with a warm/hot towel, then use your soap/cleanser. Rinsing with water and trying to wash the oil off with your second cleanser will leave you oily! I always thought my skin was on the oily side, but an esthetician explained the best cleansing oils for dry vs oily skin and the almond oil in this works well with my combo skin with a few very dry areas. Helps me get rid of blackheads and oil plugs without pinching them out…which I thought was the point of the double cleansing?! It helps with my makeup but I rarely wear makeup, so the oil plug removal and how soft my skin feels after was my standard for reviewing and giving this 5 stars.

I hadn't heard of this brand before but wanted to try it out bc it was on sale at the Target I was at. I really wanted to like it, it does remove make up but the actual cleansing oil does not emulsify! It leaves a thick oily residue on your face. I tried following up with my regular face wash and it didn't even get it off. I had to use a cleansing balm that DID emulsify and then another face wash to get it off. I don't recommend unfortunately.

The consistency is too thick, it doesn't emulsify, doesn't remove eye make up, and doesn't wash off the skin. Terrible. Leaves a thick, greasy film on the skin even after repeated splashes with water and lots of rubbing with hands. Worst cleansing balm I have ever used. Might as well smear Vaseline on the skin and do nothing.

Really like the texture of this cleansing balm. It’s very light and worked well to get off stubborn eye makeup. No residue either. I will buy again.

I really wanted to like this for the clean ingredients factor. But could not get past the oily residue it left on my face! I followed all the directions and I have to scrub with a towel to remove and it still doesn’t get off all my makeup…and that’s coming from someone who only uses concealer and powder….sadly I would not recommend.

The only good thing about this balm is that is smells nice. You HAVE to use a cleanser after because it leaves so much residue on your face. I tried it for two weeks and really wanted to like it but my skin felt so slimy and gross after every use. I would hold off taking off my makeup for as long as I could because I didn’t want to put it on my face. I’m def going back to my old one.

Really nice product, leaves skin so soft. But has artificial fragrance, which completely is a dealbreaker for me. Surprised since they highlighted how many “not clean” ingredients they excluded. Why not fragrance too?!

This balm was really nice and had a great scent. would be great for people who had dry skin.. One thing I really dont like is the residue it leaves on your skin. It stays oily and I couldn't get rid of it with water, I had to use a towel to wipe it off my face.

I love the way my face feels after washing it but I hate the chemical, astringent smell and feeling of many cleansers. This balm-to-oil cleanser is amazing because it simultaneously leaves my skin feeling fresh and moisturized without the chemical bath. I don’t wear makeup but I do shave daily (ok, every other day if I can get away with it) because the rate at which my beard grows. My skin is very sensitive to the constant shaving and I’m often left with razor burn no matter what I do. This Nyakio Sweet Almond Oil Cleansing Balm has helped my skin remain healthy so I can keep my facial hair in check. Some describe an oily layer left on their skin. I disagree. After washing, my skin is left with a moisturizing protectant feeling. This makes my skin both look and feel healthier. Definitely buy this if you get a chance.

I hate it lol it left an oily film on my face that was near impossible to get off and didn’t even remove all my makeup. I had to wash my hands with hand soap after using it before i used my face soap and even then my face wash could barely wash it off. I’m gonna go back to my versed cleansing balm even tho it has worse ingredients bc it actually works

It does an okay job at removing makeup, but it does a residue after cleansing and removing. For the price, it’s nothing special.
