Bought this after reading that it was a smashbox dupe….I regretted it. It was oily even after all that shaking that has to be done before it’s even ready to use. And it was so thin, I felt it barley did anything. Guess my expectations were too high :(

I have been using green primer for over a decade to help tone down my rosacea. I have tried various brands and this is the first one I’ve tried that does absolutely nothing for me. It’s like applying water to my skin I mean it does nothing. So disappointing. Was expecting more with all the positive reviews. I guess if you have a little redness this might cover a little but it does nothing for me.

To start, I had an allergic reaction to the NYX Perfect Primer Green INSTANTLY!! I purchased this after reading a ton of reviews and a few friend recommending it to blur out small light red blemishes and to prep my face before I use my Bareminerals products... Within 1 minute after applying to my clean face, my lips were swelling, my entire face was super red, on fire, and burning. I have very fair sensitive dry skin and most of the tine even skin tone expect some blemishes that appear near my hair line, and I also have severe allergies. So, I always check ingredients on products prior to purchasing, and this product did not appear to have anything in it that my skin would normally react to.. Anyways, I added some photos of how red and blotchy it made my face (these pics are 1 hour post reaction and after taking 3 Benadryl’s plus washing my face - to try and remove product). I hope this helps!

I was so excited to try this after reading it was similar to Smashbox primers but was disappointed overall. It was oily. It didn’t make a difference in the appearance of pores or fine lines and had no blurring effect for me. It did seem like it helped foundation application so it’s not a total fail.

I love this primer! I had tried another one and switched back to this one. I don’t feel like it’s sticky or balls up. It really makes my skin smooth before putting makeup on. I use this after I have put moisturizer on and it’s dried. Great price for the product. You can cut the top off when you aren’t able to squeeze more out, and use the rest of it!
