I have been buying these for years and opened a can tonight and it was completely runny and watery. I assume they are diluting to increase the profit. First the regular taco shells became super tiny and thin, and then the seasoning started tasting flavorless like filler, and now the beans are ruined. I've been buying Old El Paso products for at least 20 years--What is going on?

My go to seasoning for taco night. So cheap and easy to use. I usually cook my meat and ingredients to my liking then follow the instructions on the package. Pour it in, mix it in and dinner is served! It can be a bit salty but I usually use a point of meat with veggies and it’s a perfect ratio!

I bought two cans of traditional refried beans dated 2025. Both of the cans were extremely watery and runny. We were unable to eat them and I can’t take them back for a refund. Is this a problem with the manufacturer or the handling of the product? Please advise. Not a happy customer.

Such an easy side dish when I am making tacos or enchiladas. The way I like to cook it is to put a little butter or oil in a frying pan and then fry the refried beans. I sprinkle a little cheese on top and let that melt and then serve. So good!

I'm used to buying the store brand for everything but this time I decided to treat myself to an American staple. The flavor was so non-existent that I can't help but wonder if the "mild" version is just food coloring to make beef look more appealing as taco meat.

It adds great flavor to my tacos and I use it every time. It can occasionally be a little salty, so I try to get the low sodium if possible. I usually grab a few because I know I’ll get through them

OMG I just bought the big can and my son flew in from NJ and he wanted his favorite nachos baked in the oven with these beans topped with cheese and Jalapeno peppers!! I knew something was wrong because before I made them I thought something is wrong, but we decided to try them anyways. Brought them out of the oven and WE all ate one and couldn't eat anymore and threw it all away. I took a pic of the beans in the can and got the barcode because I thought they were spoiled, but now I see all these reviews and I wished I would have taken the whole can back to the store for a full refund!! Very unhappy to see you've changed your recipe because I've bought these for so long!! BTW too much Cumin and so watery

Like many others I have used OP Refried Beans for years. I must have been luck to keep getting the "old" recipe cans of late. Recently my last two cans were very watery. Needless to say I am dissatisfied and will move to a new brand. Adios Old El Paso!

Read the labels. This seasoning contains bioengineered ingredients, in other words fake food. I have been a lifetime consumer of Old El Paso products, It has been a staple in my household for more than half a century since I was just a kid. Just today I realized that it has bio engineered ingredients and so it went in the trash. I have also posted on social media about this poison in your product. Please, our country is battling sickness and death due to fake everything. I’m asking you to consider going back to real products and real food. Until then my family and I will not be using your products, even if that means forever. As a lifetime former consumer of yours, I thought it was fair that you should know. Let’s get real. Susan

I’ve been purchasing these beans for years and would continue to do so until tonight. After opening the can I found them to be only as thick as soup. I will not be purchasing them again.

They reduced the contents from 6 servings to 5 and slapped gluten free on the packaging, they also increased the suggested water amount from 2/3 cup to 3/4. You're better off to just buy bulk seasoning now

I have bought Old El Paso Taco Seasoning for years. I prefer the flavor of this brand over other brands. I not only use this seasoning for tacos, but also add to soups, chili mac, etc. for extra flavor.

What happened to these retried beans? These ‘were’ my favorite brand. Now they are disgusting. Going back to my old favorite. These were so good, WHO’s brilliant Idea was it to change them. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed. July, 2023 bought large can of Old El Paso and when I opened it the contents was so soupy. The consistency has always been solid but not this time. Now what brand to go to. Always counted on this brand for years. What happened????

I make taco burritos with these. I heat the refried beans and add shredded cheese. Separately I make taco meat as normal. I mix the two and wrap with Old El Paso soft tortillas and bake on 400 for 5-8 minutes. Its so delicious.
