A: Hi Parrott75, We do not recommend using the product prior the brace adjustment appointments to cut down on discomfort only because during the appointment, patients are asked to brush their teeth or the dentist will clean the targeted area. Therefore, very little product would be left. There is no concern to using the product before the procedure, but, we do not believe it will help substantially. If you would like to use the product after their procedure they can, we would recommend consulting a dental specialist's opinion first. Thank you.

My bottom right wisdom tooth has been giving me a bunch of trouble and I'm not able to get to a dentist until the beginning of the year. Unfortunately this only provides relief for 10 minutes on a good day... I expected more being that it is supposed to be "4x Medicated" (More like 4 minutes of medicated)

Just bought this as I have a tooth that needs to be extracted. It is infected. This worked almost immediately. I cannot chew on the right side of my mouth, but this will definitely help me sleep tonight until I can see the dentist. It is about as strong as you will get OTC. If your tooth is very infected, I could see this not working, but for basic issues that are new, this is amazing!

I believe this is a new and improved formula compared to the old Orajel of my childhood. I had an infected wisdom tooth and this did well to help me until I could get it pulled by dentist. It helps kill the germs and numb for a short period of time. It still tastes like Orajel but seems less powerful than I remember. However, the gel itself is now white instead of that weird transparent-pink it used to be in the 90's. I like the improvements.

i just purchased this for my wisdom tooth pain ( the area is swollen, sore, and painful). the initial application was good and took the general swelling down, but doesn’t really last too long so i don’t 100% recommend this for this type of tooth pain, unless it’s not insanely painful
