This particular protein powder is vegan, made with plant-based ingredients only. The protein source is a blend of organic pea protein, brown rice, and chia seed. I hope this helps! :)

A: Hi there, Orgain powder, bar, and the ready-to-drink products are made in facilities that process dairy and soy ingredients. Orgain manufacturing facilities are registered with the US FDA. Orgain facilities also have a third party Food Safety and GMP certification from either NSF, or other Global Food Safety Initiative (also known as GFSI) benchmarked certifications such as SQF, BRC, or FSSC. Safety and quality is of utmost importance at Orgain. The facilities follow a stringent Allergen Control Plan and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to minimize the risk of cross contamination. These procedures include: scheduling products with allergens at the end of the production cycle, segregation of all allergen ingredients from non-allergen ingredients, and scrupulous sanitation practices followed by inspection and testing to ensure no allergenic material is left on the equipment that could contaminate the next batch. If there are allergy concerns, we recommend consulting with a healthcare provider before consuming the product. We hope this helps! :)
A: Hi Darcey, Thank you for reaching out, great question! At this time, Orgain's plant-based products are not considered low FODMAP because they contain pea protein (a galactan) as a major constituent, and Orgain dairy-based products, though low in lactose, contain certain sweeteners and/or fibers that are not permitted on a low FODMAP diet. Despite this, we do have many individuals with various GI-related issues using our products with good tolerance and wonderful feedback. We recommend if individuals on a low FODMAP diet chose to try one of our products for the first time, that they begin with a small amount to assess tolerance. If the shake is digesting comfortably, they can gradually increase intake as tolerated. Each individual is unique, as is their medical history, so we always default to the patient's healthcare team to determine if Orgain is a good fit.
A: Hi there, great question! The Organic Protein™ Plant Based Protein Powder contains Organic Guar Gum and Xanthan Gum. You will find these 2 listed on the label. They are 2 of the last 3 ingredients listed. We hope this helps! :)
A: Hi Jess, our products are tested for heavy metals (which includes lead). We are committed to making delicious nutrition products with the cleanest ingredients and highest standards available. In good health, The Orgain Team
A: Hi Siobhan! Great question. This particular plant-based protein powder is not designed for weight gain but it can be incorporated into a diet to support weight gain. Our products can be used to increase calories and perhaps increase protein as part of a weight training regimen, therefore an individual might expect to increase overall body mass. We recommend consulting further with a healthcare provider to ensure this product is a good fit for you. In good health, The Orgain Team
A: Hi there! The protein powder is designed for adults but kids can enjoy it too. We hope this helps! Please let us know if you have other questions. :)
A: Hi Katty! The protein powder is made with food ingredients and may be suitable for pregnant women. We recommend double checking with your healthcare provider. Hope this helps!
