Summary of reviews
These organic eggs are praised for their affordability and quality, with many guests appreciating the deep golden yolks and cage-free status. However, there are concerns about the plastic packaging, broken eggs upon delivery, and the pale color of the yolks, which some guests feel indicates lower quality. Overall, they are a popular choice for their price and organic certification.

Provide a Good Date on Eggs!

The eggs are fine. The staff that put them in the pickup order don’t provide a good sell by date. Please have a date that is further out! I received a sell by date that was the date of the order!

The eggs themselves are fine. However, when I was ordering these online for a store pickup I thought the eggs would be in a paper carton as shown in the photo. Instead the eggs were in a multi-layer plastic package. Please Target, do whatever you can to stop using plastic packaging when possible! This is an example of an unnecessary use of plastic and a misleading photo of the packaging of item being purchased. I would not have bought these eggs if I had known they would be in a plastic carton.

Avoid the plastic version

The plastic container version of these are substandard. The yolks are pale, the shells are brittle, and the use of plastic is wasteful. The problem is that Target is pushing drive up and delivery, so you don’t know whether you are going to get the good version in a regular egg carton, or the bad version in plastic.

The container is plastic. The picture shows a regular paper carton. I would never have purchased eggs in plastic when paper is available. It's not recyclable and just plain wasteful for the same product.

Love that they are cage free and organic but packaging is a waste of plastic and when you order driveup most of the time there will be cracked or missing eggs

I tried these eggs because they are advertised as organic, plus I get a decent employee discount on them. I don't believe they actually are organic. The yolks are extremely pale, indicating the chickens were not able to eat natural nutritious feed. I will never buy these eggs again. I was not happy with the thin shells, pale yolks, and bland taste. Nellie's eggs are of a far better quality in my opinion and they aren't even certified organic.
Ammonia/Chemical Smell

We noticed from a previous carton that some of the eggs smelled (once cracked) like a strong chemical smell. We threw them out and used different ones. It happened again from a new carton which made me finally look it up. Apparently eggs start to smell like that when they are sitting in manure or unkept chicken coops. This is really disappointing because you’d think “organic eggs” come from a good place and happy hens, but this has proven to be untrue in this case.
Questionable Quality

The shells are thin and they don’t taste organic. It’s strange to me. I will no longer buy these as the quality is questionable. I read another review that the thin shells and flat eggs are a sign of unhappy chickens. I don’t trust this at all. I know quality food and this isn’t it.
