Excellent tofu for all kinds of applications.

It tastes exactly like tofu ought to. We use this in a broccoli tofu stir fry and it called for 8 ounces but we just use the whole pound. Its great because this tofu doesn’t have a super strong taste so we can have more tofu goodness in our meals!

This is definitely not extra firm. More Kline firm to medium

Tasty. I bought it to make. vegan butternut pie and I was delighted with the taste and texture.

I've been buying this tofu for months now with no issues, but the past four times I've bought it the tofu has this horrible, rotten smell. So strong that I immediately have to get it out of the house. The packaging gets super inflated like the product is fermenting in the there. The tofu is still weeks away from its expiration date, but there's clearly something wrong.

I bought this tofu today and made some soup with it. And it gave the whole batch a weird fishy smell. I couldn’t figure out what it was till I smelled the tofu container. I don’t eat fish, nor do I trust things that are labeled vegan, but smell like fish… so I’m definitely going back to a different brand of tofu. Also I noticed a couple others reviewed that the smell was weird, so I’m glad I’m not the only one in this boat.

Very strange smell, not very firm. Usually a Target fan, but this disappoints.

It's the typical store-brand tofu with a high water content. I knew right away when I picked up my order it was going to be the watery tofu by how heavy it is. It seems it would be easier to transport (and greener) without so much added water. Needs to be drained and squeezed and the form gets ruined - if you try frying this straight from the container it will stick to the pan and take forever to cook.

Had a weird smell upon opening both packages.

Texture was NOT of extra firm tofu. It was super spongey and weird.

This was not extra firm tofu, very soft and falls apart easily. I would avoid

Can’t beat $2.49 and it’s honestly one of the best tofu’s I’ve tried. I stock up and use it in so much!

Prior to the price increase this was a great deal which is why I bought it. But it is definitely not firm. It's super soft and falls apart. I couldn't even gently try to press it or cube it.

I have never bought sour tofu before I bought this one and stored properly. Started to cook for tofu scramble and the smell is off. The tofu smells sour or something. Not sure why ??

Bought this on a whim for dinner plans because I was already in store. This tofu came out of the package sopping wet, crumbling as I picked it up to press it. I got this for teriyaki tofu + broccoli bowls, but after pressing, it crumbled into nothingness. It must be a bad batch or lack of quality control, especially because of a slew of negative reviews. probably won’t be purchasing again even if the problem is fixed because there are better brands out there.

The taste is good. It is great for making stiry fry. Not overpriced

This is the best Tofu among dozens of other brands I've tried. I can tell it's made the old-fashioned, good way with water steam on the beans first, unlike others that use a super hot dry-heat processing that removes the goodness. Extremely versatile. Press out of the box (I use the TofuPresser brand), cut in cubes, stir a little at a time to taste Bragg's aminos, Balsamic vinegar, Nutritional yeast, Celtic sea salt, garlic, and oregano, for "feta" style. Or pop the whole box in freezer overnight, allow to thaw the next day, press in tofu presser, crumble by hand into "ground beef" style pieces in a stoneware dish, bake at 200 degrees F for two hours. You can save them in fridge for instant, most delicious, chewy vegan beef crumbles that rehydrate in chili, tacos, "hamburger" style pastas, lasagna, the list is endless. Good & Gather yields the best tasting tofu "feta" and "beef" I've ever tried. I'm convinced it's their water steam processing. I hope Target always carries this tofu, as I seriously haven't found any substitute.
