Kodo millet, also called kodon, hadra, varagu or arika.
Kodo is a millet that was domesticated in India 3000 years ago. It is known for its highest fibre content compared to all other millets. High in protein and fibre and low in fat – it is ideal for all age groups.
Good Source of minerals such as calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium and zinc and is easy to digest.
Kodo millet is a great source of B vitamins, especially niacin, B6 and folic acid.
Being gluten-free, it is ideal for people who are gluten intolerant. It can be a sensible substitute for rice and wheat.
