Did you know that you can make your own powdered sugar? If it has to sit for even an hour, you have to add corn starch or arrowroot powder to prevent it from clumping. That's what makes this organic option impressive. It's going to clump, but you don't have additives to it. Just get a sifter.

It was quite difficult to work with. Even after sifting there were just so many clumps it was hard to make a smooth mixture of anything. Maybe it’s just my inexperience, but I am not planning on buying this product again.

If you have a corn allergy, it’s a decent alternative, but it has a funny taste that I didn’t care for.
Best tasting, hands down

Taste is great, so much better than regular powdered sugar, which has a bitter taste and smell now that I've used organic for so many years. It can clump up a little here and there but I've had no issues with it blending in for icing. Piped out smooth, no lumps. The color is not bright white, so if you have to have that, use conventional. But with color added, it's no problem and the white is white enough for my non professional baking at home. I get so many compliments on my icing when I use this.

The desserts that I made with the powdered sugar were delicious. It’s a good value for being non-GMO and organic. Although they seemed to try, I didn’t find the Vanilla Buttercream Frosting recipe to be very user friendly. It says that it makes enough frosting for a "9-inch layer cake”. How many layers are we talking about? The recipe employs old-fashioned baking/prep techniques. Many of us bakers prefer to weigh our dry ingredients on a food scale using grams. Weighing is the simplest and most accurate way to measure the amount of powdered sugar (and other dry ingredients) needed. King Arthur Baking Company understands the importance of weighing. They include metric units on the recipes on their website as well of newer packaged items.
Don't touch unless you want bitter frosting

The sugar, for whatever reason, has a bitter aftertaste. And it's not just a little bitterness; the taste progressively worsens overtime.

This product has no cornstarch and is made with tapioca instead. I love that!

Very clumpy. Hard to mix and get lumps out. Felt a lot harder than normal non-organic powdered sugar for some reason. Also had a weird taste. I’m not sure if I just got a bad bag or what, but I think I’ll stick to the cheaper, non-organic next time.
Unappealing color

If you are looking for a white confectioners sugar, this is not the one for you. It’s a very unattractive gray out of the package which becomes even darker when adding liquid (I used milk) to make icing. Taste and texture are fine but the “dirty gray” ruined it for me. It should be fine if you are adding food coloring.

Turns very strange grey color when you add only water. Looks impure and unappetizing.

Tastes okay, but it clumps terribly. Do not attempt to use for frosting and piping tips or anything that requires smoothness.

This powdered sugar just tastes off. It's extra sweet, almost like the too sweet flavor of artificial sweetener. Almost bitter.

I used this when I made cupcakes (buttercream topping) last week and I thought I messed up on the recipe because the buttercream tasted just awful. I used it again last night to make whipped cream for my pie and it was just awful again. Please bring back the other brand of powdered sugar target!

I normally like this powdered sugar, but the last few bags that I have gotten taste weird. I am not sure if it was just a bad batch or if that is normal.
