Very durable

We have been abusing this blender for at least 4 years. One family member consistently overfills with ice and other ingredients several times a day. Have replaced blade and rubber seal once. Motor has been taxed beyond reason and has just now started to break down. I would definitely buy again.see moreof the reviewer's review

This blender is a dream come true! It blends a full pitcher of icy drinks in almost no time at all and the best part? There's only 1 button so there's no way to mess it up! The glass pitcher is much more durable than other plastic blenders I've had and even though it sounds like a jet engine, it won...see moreof the reviewer's review

The jar is glass, and the base and its innards are metal. It is heavy because it is solid and well made.

My old Oster Classic Blender finally bit the dust so I ordered a replacement. Wow, right out of the box I noticed the difference....my old blender weighed 5 lbs. and the replacement weighed 3.5 lbs. Lids plastic and leaks, maybe thru the plastic insert. 1st use to make a smoothie was loud and the...see moreof the reviewer's review

We have had Oster blenders since 1948, then called The Osterizer. Finally burned out in 1994. Still using the jar on current base. The one we have now was bought used in the 1980's, getting antsy, sticky buttons, etc. Trying to convince my sister to buy a new one before it gives up in the middle o...see moreof the reviewer's review

Looks nothing like the picture. After two weeks of waiting for it to arrive, and then getting something where neither the base nor the glass container look anything like what was pictured, I'm buying it somewhere else.see moreof the reviewer's review
