I received this air fryer for my birthday. I keep trying to find a recipe for fresh food, that will make my food crispy and cook thoroughly, within the suggested cooking time. Have to cook it, sometimes twice as long, on a higher temperature. Even when I cut fresh potatoes, they never turn out crispy, fried chicken, nope. I’ve followed air fried recipes, bought a mister and still having difficulty. How do I return a gift?

I've had this air fryer for about 14 months. I was very pleased and happy with it as it made cooking so much easier. The handle on the basket did become loose over time and small screws did fall out a few times. I was still pleased with the air fryer despite this inconvenience, until today when it stopped frying the food. The air fryer still powers on and the settings work, but we were very dissapointed to find our food was not cooked. I noticed that there is no heat, so even though it still powers on it won't air fry or cook anything. Very dissapointed as I expected it to last for many years like all my other Oster products.

We really loved our air fryer. It was easy to use and we loved to use it. However, I died on us out of nowhere. I got this as a Christmas present in 2021 and I lasted barely over a year. It’s disappointing because Oster used to be a great brand! We have almost everything Oster.

Use the air fryer regularly after 8 months air fryer stopped working. Internal investigation shows that a thermal link inside of the unit mounted directly over the heating element has failed. Unit otherwise was in good shape. Thermal link is non restorable and non serviceable by normal users. Would suggest a restorable thermal link otherwise the unit is going to become waste and frustrated clients will be unhappy.

I liked this air fryer because it made food crispy, and was fun to experiment with different recipes, but it had a strong odor. Besides the odor, the control button had a high pitched beep sound which had one of our dogs scared so bad that he was trembling and hiding. It made me feel cruel when I tried to set it. We ended up returning it. It was a nice size and I had researched that it didn't contain the cancerous material that most other ones do have. It may be good for some people, but it wasn't for us.

after a year the basket started falling apart and the draw is rusting...Also Oster acts like they don't know what you're talking about when you call them to order replacement parts.... because you don't want rust in your food. It's going to be replaced.

I just used my new air fryer for the 1st time. The food turned out well -eventually- but it took a lot of fumbling around to actually get it to cook. The manual is far from clear. For example: should the fryer be preheated & if so, how is it done, how does one cancel a setting, etc. I do not like to have to guess when using an appliance nor yet waste food through trial & error.
