Q: why do keep changing the face molds? was the original not cute enough for you guys? do you want all the dolls to look the same? abril & cece were cute before are you going to change every doll with their respective face molds?

A: Hello Girl Dad, There are 2 different face molds for all of the Our Generation dolls. There is the original face mold and the newer face mold that was introduced in late 2020/early 2021. Target will be changing their dolls and their site to reflect the newer face mold. Thank you. The Battat Team

Q: Does this doll come in multiple skin tones? It looks light in the picture above but when it arrived it was very dark.

A: Hello. Each doll comes in one skin tone and is not customizable. Abril is a Hispanic doll and is considered a medium skin tone.

A: There are two different types of dolls; Poseable and non-poseable. All of our dolls rotate at the hips, shoulders and neck. Poseable dolls also bend at the knees and elbows, while non poseable dolls do not. Both our poseable and non-poseable dolls can sit. Only the DELUXE dolls are all poseable. Abril is a non-poseable doll.

Abril is a very beautiful 18" Hispanic doll, which could also be used as South Asian, Middle Eastern or Pacific Islander. In recent months, this doll was being scalped on social media and selling sites for more than twice the original retail price! Abril appears to be of high quality, just like the other "Our Generation" dolls we have purchased. I debated over purchasing this doll until I read a review of another customer who had purchased the Abril doll hoping for the original version, while I wanted the current facial sculpt. Had I received the original version, which I did not want, I would have returned it to Target. To each their own. Anyway, I think if Target.com is selling both the original and current facial sculpts of specific dolls. it's only fair that there should be separate listings to show people the exact product that they will be receiving. The overall majority who purchased OG dolls online, aren't wanting a surprise "blind box"! We're also hoping that the "Our Generation" Sandy doll will soon be replenished and available to ship to our zip code!

Too many surprises upon arrival. The left eye was broken-but that wasn’t surprising. Big surprise-the doll I received is wearing the right clothes and the box says “Abril”, but this doll is nothing like the images. I was prepared for the lovely tan-but the face mold is completely different than the online images. Eyes, nose, mouth, face-completely different. She has a similar face mold to Maricela, Rasheeda or Maria dolls. She’s even different from the images posted by reviewers this year. This isn’t the doll my daughter was so excited to receive. She loved the doll based on images posted by reviewers. The doll is very pretty, but nothing like the images online.

I received this doll for Christmas a few years ago. She is a beautiful doll! I like her just as much now, if not more than when I received her! I have another Our Generation doll and this one is just as great. The Our Generation dolls I have are just as good in quality as the American Girl dolls. The only possible thing that could be dissatisfying to me about this doll is the hem of her skirt has come slightly unraveled. I don't find that a problem though because I have had her for three years! Here is some things prospective buyers may want to know: (1) The pigment of her skin has a slightly darker tint than the picture portrays. It is a mixture of light brown and deep tan. (2) Her hair is closer to wavy than curly and tangles but is pretty easy to detangle as well. (3) She is both cute and durable! She is super great for children of all ages and lots of fun! Her rosy cheeks, black hair, and brown eyes are super cute! A great Christmas gift!
