Q: My daughter wants a dolls with brown hair and brown eyes so it looks like her. This dolls hair says brown in the description but in the pictures it looks almost red. In person does the doll have reddish hair?

I have purchased 8 OG dolls and for the most part have been happy with them. However, Maria has been a different story. She is almost bald. Her hair is VERY thin and stringy with almost an oily feel to it. No matter how her hair is styled, the scalp is totally visible. Unfortunately, I cannot take her back as I've already removed her from the box. I am so very disappointed in this doll and will not give it as a gift like I originally planned.

The hair on this Our Generation doll Maria is the worse of the 5 I have purchased & I'm very disappointed. The hair barely covers her scalp. In fact it really doesn't. It looks very stringy & oily. Very disappointed.

I was looking at Our Generation dolls because I’m displaying my other 18” dolls, from my childhood, in my studio and was curious how this line of dolls would compare. I was so impressed! Maria is beautiful and after seeing her in our local Target while passing the toy section I purchased her about a month later. She is made very similarly to the other 18” dolls I have (AG) except her torso is slightly smaller. Her hair is nice and soft and her limbs move and hold their pose (they were a bit hard to move at first, so when giving this to a child I’d say move the limbs a few times so the recipient doesn’t twist them too hard to pose them). I put her in other doll clothing I had which fits her well, and the pajamas she comes with are very cute too. Price wise I don’t think a better value exists for 18” dolls, she blew me away! I see why people get started collecting these, haha… Would recommend her for kids too of course as she seems durable and well made.

she is very cute. she's a little smaller than an American girl doll it seems but they say they fit the same clothes so we will see. my problem is her eyes. Her eyes close when you lay her down, but with mine one of her eyes stays half open. I can only return and reorder, they will not do a replacement transaction. 🤷♀️
