Q: is this real wood; or fake with a veneer? Reason I'm asking is that there are no cleaning instructions. Can you wipe it down w/a damp cloth; should any type of wood polish be used it.

Looks nice enough and is the easiest piece of furniture I have ever put together. I would not pay full price for it, even the sale price is a bit much for the lightness of the piece - the shelves look thick in pics and when put together, but they are SUPER THIN particle board, not solid or even hollow shelves. Overall am happy enough with it and would buy again.

The price was decent on clearance. It had a strong odor when I opened them (I bought 2) it smelled like spray paint. They were a lot lighter than I thought they would be. They look good but I wish they were more heavy. Easy to put together and will serve its purpose.

This table looks nice but the finish is not great. I bought the espresso and it’s almost as if the wood was stained but there’s no glossy finish of any sort on it so the wood (if that’s even what it is?) feels rough and scratchy. Luckily I got these when they were on sale for about $50 each and I have 2 small children so I feel like it doesn’t matter that they aren’t great a great finish because they will probably end up destroyed anyway.
