It is a solid quality plastic build, the kind you would find in nicer containers, the air tightness is a good feature if you want to keep coffee beans like me in it. It's really easy to clear and take the lid off. At the same time being minimalistic. In a short summary its the best container for my use of storing beans ever. It's much cheaper than specialized coffee containers that are airtight.
