The instructions were so confusing. The bike is horrible for a child’s first bike. It’s very difficult to peddle and the training wheels are wobbly even after tightening it with all the mentioned tools. Low quality and might return because my son can’t even use it

I bought this bike despite the negative reviews. It was available at my local Target, was a decent price, and all the parts were included. But oh my gosh, *everything* was difficult to move on this bike. The wheels didn’t spin easily, the handlebars didn’t maneuver well, it was just difficult to move. We even followed the tips of a different review, but even after messing with the bolts, it was still too hard to move. I returned it to the store. It’s just disappointing. A child’s first bike should be fun and easy. I imagine this would be a very frustrating first bike to learn on.

Works perfectly if you check all the factory work

Kyle - 11 months ago
I got a great clearance deal on this so thought I would see if I could wrench my way around the problems everyone seems to report with this bike (hard to pedal, etc). Mine was also hard to pedal out of the box, the front axle was way too hard to turn, and the steering stem was very tight. If you take your time and re-tighten each of these appropriately, the bike works great. You shouldn't have to do this, of course, but it's also easy and maybe even rewarding work if you like. I'm excited to have mine working perfectly with about 30 minutes extra work. Each joint has an outer nut and inner nut. The key is to get the inner nut just tight to where the joint moves freely, but no tighter or looser than that. Then lock it in that setting by tightening the outer nut. Re-check if it's still moving well. If it's too tight again, re-do it. It's called "pre-loading" a bearing if you want to research it further, but for a basic kid's bike like this it's sufficient just to mess with it until you get it moving like a bike should.

Purchased this bike for my 3 year old son for his holiday gift 2020 It was in stock at my local target so I was pleased not to have to wait for shipping. My son is avg height but relatively skinny. He had so much difficulty peddling this bike. You really have to be a larger kid who weighs more or extremely strong to peddle this bike. My niece who is the same age and same size as my son, visited 1 day and she also had major trouble peddling this bike. Not sure why it's so difficult, but major force is needed to peddle this bike. I purchased it 32 days before Xmas and couldn't return it. My wife and I have avoided this brand ever since. This unfortunately is not a quality toddlers/kids bike.
