Hi Momof3. We do add a small amount of organic cane sugar to this broth. It's such a small amount it does not register as even 1 gram, but it's added as a food safety indicator. If, by some odd chance bacteria survived our heating process, the bacteria would consume any available sugar/carbohydrates in the product and then make the package bloat (or the pH drop) to indicate spoilage. I literally didn’t need to add more seasoning it’s just the right flavor. I also love they way it’s packaged makes easy use verse the cans.

I never have a recipe that uses a whole box. These small containers are amazing. I can open one and use what I need, without an extra waste. This broth doesn't do that and makes my soup clear. And since it's low sodium I can adjust the flavors to my liking. I start using this from now on.
