Q: To prevent pregnancy stretch marks, when can I start using this product?

submitted by Madison - 1 year ago
  • A: Dear Madison, thank you for your question. It's best to use our Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks before your skin begins to stretch. Hydrating your abdomen, when you first learn your pregnant, can only help prevent stretch marks in the coming months. Of course, it will still help your skin become more elastic and supple anytime you decide to care for the areas affected by weight gain, but will it will be the most effective if you start early.

Q: Does it make the stretch marks go away? Or does it just lighten the color and visibility?

submitted by Brittanny - 2 years ago
  • A: Dear Brittanny, Thank you for your question. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks advanced formulation, with vitamin E, Lutein, Argan Oil, Coconut, as well as Cocoa Butter, softens, smoothes, and conditions your skin to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Since stretch marks are a form of scarring, and scarring is actual damage to the dermis itself, nothing can make scaring totally disappear, what can be done is to to help them fade and be less noticeable.

Q: How long does it take to get rid of stretch marks using this product?

submitted by - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello Sophia, and thank you for your question. The amount of time it takes for Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks to improve the appearance of stretch marks depends on the severity of your stretch marks. It's impossible to pin point the amount of time for each individual. Results also depend on how consistent you are using the product. While some people see results in weeks, others may take months to see improvement. However, in consumer tests 98% of people tested showed improvement in skin elasticity, texture, and tone with use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not pregnant, I am 55 years old I have 4 kids and yes I have stretch marks. I started using Palmer's - Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion for Pregnancy Stretch Marks and the feeling it leaves my skin is so nice & smooth! The appearance looks smoother too. The scent, smelling it from the bottle I wasn’t a fan of but applying it to my skin it really leaves no after scent. I love the way the skin feels, using on my abdomen & thigh area and happy.

I bought 3 different bottles because I thought there was a problem with it. It smells like expired product and the lotion pills up when I try to rub it in. I was excited for the coco butter scent and the reviews made it sound much better. After buying the 3rd bottle I believe it’s the new formula that has made the product not as good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had 4 kids. My first pregnancy was twins. Needless to say, I am covered in stretch marks and they make me SO self conscious. Since starting to use this product, my stretch marks are definitely less noticeable. Nothing is magic, but they are starting to fade and I am SO happy with the results.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Palmers has been my go to moisturizer for years. Recently they have changed the formulas and I don’t like them as much. The texture of Palmers Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion is rich and creamy. There isn’t much of a Cocoa Butter scent or much of a scent at all. I really miss the smell of Cocoa butter. Now, the scent is what I associate with shea butter. I am not a fan of shea butter at all, not the scent or the texture. I find shea butter does not absorb as well into my skin as Cocoa butter. The pump works well. There is so much product always left in the bottle, with a smaller opening it is difficult to get out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you that you do not have to be expecting a baby to have stretch marks. The stretch marks will happen at various times in your life. It could be due to weight loss or weight gain. Or it could be due to getting older. I feel this is for everybody. Although it most definitely helps stretch marks. This doesn't solve the issue. But, it makes the stretch marks a bit more forgiving. Plus it smells great. This is packaged in a squeeze bottle. It is not extremely big, but not small either. I feel if you are taking a trip this could easily fit into a bag without taking up too much room. It is easy to squeeze the cocoa butter massage lotion out of the bottle. I know this is marketed for pregnant women. But I feel all women should have this. It is a miracle in a bottle. It won't happen overnight. But after using this for a reasonable amount of time you will notice a change. Plus it makes your skin abundantly soft. Overall, I would recommend this cocoa butter. It is everything a woman needs. You will thank me later.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my go to during pregnancy and after. This keeps my skin moisturized and I use it daily. The pump is easy to use and durable. The lotion absorbs within my skin and does not feel greasy or skinny. The lotion smells so good which is a huge bonus. Using every day the bottle lasts me about a month. Definitely would recommend to pregnant and post partum mommas!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I got this earlier in my pregnancy, I feel like it would’ve helped prevent some of the stretch marks that appeared on my lower belly. However I started using this postpartum. This works really well with fading my stretch marks. Although they aren’t completely gone, they look lighter than before. The lotion feels very moisturizing on and absorbs well, but doesn’t leave a greasy, tacky, or sticky feeling.

I have a sample of this in a target gift bag for second trimester moms. This lotion didn’t worked the first time I purchased. I tried the samples and it failed once again. You can’t rub it in because it’s sticky and little lotion residue starts forming and rolling off. I don’t recommend at all, you will be disappointed.

This lotion worked great for my belly with my stretch marks. It helped my PUPPS Rash in my skin stay hydrated so it didn’t become more itchy. The reason it is getting 1 star is because I didn’t realize it has caramel coloring, which is a known carcinogen. I’m so upset I used this while pregnant and even on my baby’s legs after he was born. Will absolutely not use this again. Here are some more ingredients that are not good for you: This product has a “hazard rating 6/10, which is moderate”, has “not signed compact for safe cosmetics”, and its “animal testing policy is unknown”. I’m new the the Palmer’s creams but had heard good things for years. Finally picked up a bottle at the pharmacy and was disappointed upon trial. I wasn’t expecting it to smell like glue… it’s to the point where I wondered if it was rancid. A quick look online said that this is a common complaint with the new formula. Who wants to smell like glue??
