Q: Can you safely apply to your nipples if you're breastfeeding?
submitted by RWeathers - 6 years ago
A: Palmer's recommends removing all products from the nipple before breastfeeding. Creams and lotions can make the nipple slippery making it difficult to latch on.

Weird film?

I’ve tried this twice from two different samples and both times it started to pill up and roll off in weird little waxy balls/strings like it just made a wax film all over my belly. My skin doesn’t even feel moisturized at all. I feel like none of it absorbed. I have no idea why anyone has recommended this product to me.

Thank you for your feedback! Pilling of lotion can occur for a few reasons and there are some easy fixes to prevent this from happening. 1) Exfoliate -sometimes pilling is the result of dead skin cell buildup so exfoliating can help smooth out texture. 2) Cut Back- when moisturizer balls up it be a result of applying too much product. Try using a thinner application amount 3) Take your time- Pilling can occur when you layer products on too quickly, so if you are using with another product makes sure to give it time to absorb before applying a layering formulation. We hope that these suggestions help!

Bring back the cocoa smell!!!! It was the reason i used to only buy this one! And the feeling of it. Now it just piles on the skin when you rub it and it’s not from dry skin I applied after exfoliate and it still happens and the smell is completely not the same as it used to be the new formula literally ruin the product.

Thank you for your feedback! The fragrance was updated to a lighter scent that is ideal for sensitive noses during pregnancy and disappears quickly on your skin. You Don't Mess With Perfection!

I first purchased the Palmer's Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks six years ago, not for pregnancy but for surgical scars. It had all the ingredients my dermatologist recommended and was a lot cheaper than surgical scar creams and lotions. It worked so well you have to look for the scars to even see them. The same results for a second surgery I had so I kept on using it. I recommended the Palmer's to everyone, even told my doctors about it. Now the new formula doesn't work as well, nor smell good anymore. Why oh why do companies keep changing a perfect product and ruin it? I will no longer buy this product as I am tired of waiting for Palmer's to fix the problems and restore the old formula. If saving money was the motivation for the formula change bad move. You will have lost more money in former customers and lost recommendations.

Smells so good! Buy it just for the scent! Also super thick and creamy and hydrating! I don’t know if it does anything as far as preventing stretch marks. I still got them with my first, but use this anyways! It smells so good so I’ll be using it even on my non pregnant body!
Free of fragrance? No!

Why would you say free of fragrance, yet add fragrance? Why would you add sodium benzoate to a product for pregnant women. I love the product, but I hate the smell, and I am afraid to use it because of some of the ingredients. Can't you keep this product great, leave out the fragrance and remove any toxic ingredients? I really want to love this and recommend it, but I cannot. If not for the fragrance and harmful ingredients, I'd give it 5 stars.

I used this every day when I was pregnant with my first child (see pictures) and I can promise you YOU CAN NOT PREVENT STRETCH MARKS. THEY ARE HEREDITARY. I also used this after having my first child and I can tell you it did nothing to my stretch marks. After having 2 kids, the best thing you can do for yourself is exercise and be healthy, stretch marks lighten eventually, it just takes time. (More colored photo is with my 2nd child).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lotion is nice and thick. It does an awesome job with stretch marks. It smells fantastic too. My only flaw I had with it, was that it was so thick it wouldn't pump through the pump part, but I just unscrewed lid. My stretch marks are from 4 pregnancies, and it still made a difference.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love Palmers anything but let me tell you, if you want to prevent stretch marks, use this product!! I KNOW, I did it. If it’s too late and you already have stretch marks rather from pregnancy or not, USE this product. It even works to lighten and almost make make invisible stretch marks on men! I used it on my husbands few stretch marks on his arms and side of his belly and I’m talking you, it works wonders!!! I’ve used it so many years and I know I will continue to use Palmers butter massage lotion for pregnancy stretch marks as of as I live. Oh, and it’s VERY affordable for what it is and does. I love it!!! Highly recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lotion is great. I’ve been using it on old pregancy stretch marks. I haven’t seen results from it helping with stretch marks yet, but it’s been keeping my skin very moisturized, hydrated and supple during the cold winter months. I put it on right after the shower to lock in even more moisture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion helps visibly improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Pure Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter, Natural Oils, Collagen, Elastin, and Lutein keep skin moisturized and supple for 48 hours allowing skin to stretch more easily. Widely recommended for stretch marks during and after pregnancy or weight fluctuation. This non-greasy lotion is ideal for all over body use, in place of your regular moisturizer. If you already have stretch marks all it does is lighten then you have to start using when you get pregnant for it to work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lotion is very thick and has that nice coco butter smell but not too strong, it's just right. It absorbs really well into the skin and gives it the hydration it needs. However, it did not change the look of my stretch marks granted I already had the from previous pregnancies. I will continue to use it as an everyday lotion
