Q: does this offer any protection to the device in terms of cracked screen protection from drops, deep scratches, etc? if it does not, would it be effective placing this over a glass screen protector

A: Hi, we don't recommend placing it over a glass screen protector as it reduces the Apple pencils responsiveness. The Paperlike will protect your iPad screen from scratches just like any other screen protector, but keep in mind that it isn't as thick as a tempered glass screen protector. They do not help much at all with drops. Using two screen protectors at the same time is not advised. Q: Would this be good screen protector if I also use my Ipad for photo editing? Ill be using it for everything but I want to make sure that It wouldn't affect editing photos since that would be the main use for my ipad.

A: Hi Taylor, Paperlike here! The key ingredient for the new Paperlike is the new Surface Technology "Nanodots®". We called it that for a very simple reason: because we've basically sprinkled tiny dots across the screen protector's foil. These dots don't disturb the light as much, thus you get a rougher screen with less refraction. It works for photo editing :)

I bought the two pack for my iPad Air. After applying, I didn't notice a huge difference in the texture feeling like paper but didn't think much of it. My friend got one too a few weeks later and when I felt the texture of his Paperlike it was totally different than mine and felt way more like paper... The product isn't bad, I'm just not blown away by the quality and texture being like paper.

You’ll waste the first one getting it installed. I followed directions perfectly and the first screen didn’t separate from the application to apply. I spent 2 hours trying to figure it if it worked or if my screen was just sticky. Decided to do the second screen just to see - 2nd one went on perfect and there is no denying it worked. Once it’s on it’s amazing - would absolutely recommend but don’t expect to buy the two pack and have two - there’s a good chance you’ll need the 2nd one cause the first won’t work.

I really hated this because it was horribly difficult and near impossible to install it without any dust or particles getting underneath. Also the screen is harder to see because the Mayte finish causes there to be a way bigger white cast over the screen when near any kind of light source. Lastly, the screen quality of everything diminishes massively takes a hit. If I’m paying a ton of money for a premium device, I don’t want a screen protector that ruins the screen quality, making the device not perform in a premium way at all.

Too expensive for what is in the package. The sticker process for applying is not as easy as they make it seem. Went through both screen protectors within 10 mins trying to get it right. Not the exact fit for a 10.9” screen. I let the screen protector sit for about 4 hours and then attempted to put my case on… the corners of the screen protector came up, bubbled, and would not go down. Very blurry film that altered the clearness of the screen.

BE CAREFUL! I first ordered this 2 pack screen protector in October 2021. When I went to replace my screen protector in November 2022, the 2nd screen protector WAS NOT THERE. Im not sure how this happened, maybe a manufacturer error, but I reordered this item last week and I just checked to make sure both screen protectors were there (they are both there). As for the quality, I really like this screen protector and would continue buying it in the future.

I enjoy the texture of this cover for taking notes, but the little beads that provide its matte texture strained my eyes. I had a difficult time focusing my eyes on the contents on the screen instead of the texture of the protector. Also, I learned after I purchased this that the screen protector causes accelerated wear and tear in your Apple Pencil,cutting the lifespan approximately in half. I think this is a great product for some people (based on raving internet reviews elsewhere) but it certainly wasn’t a knockout for me. I also noticed no improvement in my handwriting while using it.

I’ve been using these for note taking in college and some hobby drawing for almost a year. I really enjoy them. I would not recommend using your pencil to play fruit ninja though lol, you will get scratches on the protector. If you find the nib is wearing too quickly or you are getting deep scratches, you are likely writing with too much pressure. My apple pencil has no wear and the second protector I’ve had for six months has minimal scratching. Like I said, fruit ninja was the downfall. On the downside, the screen does get grimy and retain oil fairly quickly and there’s only so many times you can clean it. That is what drives me to replace the screen most frequently. This is also why they get 4 instead of 5 stars.

Works great, fantastic surface for drawing. The matte is perfect for drawing, but, as you can imagine, NOT as great for making the screen POP visually. Don’t get me wrong, the screen view is still clear and solid - just something to be aware of if you also wanted a shinier view. Fairly straightforward to put on as well!

If I could give zero stars I would. This screen cover does not stick well to surface, peels back easily on first day of use. And the material of the protector is absolutely nothing like paper. It’s shiny, and slick like thin reflective plastic. I have had several screen protectors over the years for iPad and iPhone, this is easily the worst of all products.

This screen protector works great with my Apple Pencil. However, due to the lack of protection on the screen itself, there are so many scratches. Typically screen protectors will have an additional film you take off after installment to prevent scratches from everything. This one did not have that. I’m tired of trying different protectors on my iPad, so this scratched one will have to do.

I have barely had this screen protector on for 3 days and it is already covered in so many micro scratches it’s not even funny. It genuinely looks like I used a copper sponge to clean it. Some of the scratches are so deep it looks like hair got stuck on my screen. I would add a picture on how badly this looks but the quality of the picture won’t allow it. Don’t buy this overpriced screen protector please. Save your money there’s better dupes out there for way cheaper.
