I purchased this for my son, literally the week it came out this summer. Unlike his other paw patrol toys, the excitement for this one wore out in less than 2 days. He's 6. Good thing he has a little brother, except the excitement wore out for his 2 year old brother in a week. At first, I found it strange because the excitement for their other Paw Patrol toys is still high (ultimate rescue firetruck, ultimate rescue chase, etc), but as i looked the toy over, i found out why. It's a bore. It has the "wow" effect because of the fact that its so big (currently a negative for me), but other than that, it isn't exciting. it makes some sounds, and shoots discs, once the thrill of shooting the discs is gone, the thrill of the toy is gone. I can see why people who got it for free "love it", but no one who paid full could possibly love it after a week.
My biggest regret is not convincing him to get the tower, which was nearly the same price, or ultimate rubble.
Might just donate it because its currently dead weight/wasted space in their toy room. Yes, they don't even bother keeping track of the discs, because its so dull. They still have and keep track of the launchers and discs from paw patrol toys that are 2-4 years old. Just saying.
This reminds me of the Sea Patroller from a few years ago that we got rid of 2 months in because it broke & was too boring to even bother fixing it or replacing it (something i do for the ultimate rescue vehicles).
I don't suggest this, so many better paw patrol options out there (ultimate rescue fire truck is literally the best paw patrol toy to date. we have had one in this house since it came out and its still the most loved, when kids come over to play, after seeing whats around, the all try to get their hands on the ultimate rescue firetruck, my two year old has been using it as a ride on for over a year).
