I bought this to streamline remotes. I have the Roku Streaming Stick + and voice remote w/tv controls. It's the same remote that is shown in the video showing how to put the remote in. The remote in the video looks like it's a little smaller as there is a little space between it and the batteries and the cover goes back on. Mine goes right up to where the batteries go in and the cover does not fit then. I will be returning this to the store.

It’s a great idea, but it’s quite bulky and was harder to line the IR to the tv. I only used it for 2 days.

What I like about this remote is there a compartment that holds my Roku remote. That is awesome! It works like any standard universal remote, but that "pocket" is so great.

Want to simplify your life then I recommend you trying this device. It took loosening 2 small screws and sliding in our roku remote and then entering the code. We liked the Phillips universal remote control, because it it nice to control 4 devices with one product. It was fairly easy for my husband to program, even though he is a senior citizen. I was a little intimidated by the instructions that came with the Philips 4-device Universal remote, but it was easier to put together and set up than I thought it would be. We are now able to control our television and sound bar with the same device we use to access the streaming programs we use. This remote allows you to slide a smart TV remote into the bottom for a 2 in one remote. This feature is good if you lose your remote a lot. It also works out of the box of the TV I tested it on which is great! However the remote itself feels bad. The buttons feel off and the remote itself isn't comfortable to hold. This is a strange device. It is made for using with a Roku device which slides into the back of the Philips remote. In order for you to do this you need to remove two very tiny screws. I did this and the Roku device was a little difficult to get in the space but once in seemed to fit. Putting the screws back in was the problem. I got the first one in ok but the other one fell on the floor and it was difficult to find! If the screws were bigger would solve that problem. Next I need to find the codes for my other devices to enter so this will become a universal remote. There are a lot of codes and I am currently going through them all to use on my cable box and DVD player. It takes time! I always have problems with keeping multiple remotes and I have to find it each time when I use my TV or audio. It has a holder on the backside or remote to insert Roku remotes. However, it does not supports all types of Roku remotes. I have Roku ultra that does not insert in this remote. It is very lightweight of material. If someone has the Roku Express+, Premier+, Streaming stick or Streaming Stick+ remotes only works for this universal remote. To insert Roku remote on the backside of this universal remote requires removing two screws using the precision screwdrivers. My Roku remote does not insert in the remote and because of the empty space on the back. It does not feel grip when holding the remote. It should have a back cover for the remote. Therefore, If Roku remote does not fit then the back cover should insert in a place of that. It is very easy to install by using the following steps. i) press the turn on the button ii) hold the setup button until constant red light showing on the remote. iii) then press the TV button on the top left side of the remote. iv) enter the code for the tv that needs to connect. I have used the code from the paper that comes in the box. v) verify all the buttons that are working. I have processed the same procedure for the other devices like a soundbar, Roku devices, and DVD player. If remote code does not exist in the paper then it can also connect using the auto search.
