These nipples are made of ultra soft, durable silicone, which is odorless, flavorless and BPA free. The nipples can be sterilized in any Philips Avent steam sterilizer, boiled for five minutes, or washed in the dishwasher. A wide breast-shape nipple which promotes natural latch-on so you can easily combine breastfeeding and bottle feeding. The ultra soft nipple mimics the feel of the breast. Our flexible spiral design combined with the comfort petals allow for a natural movement while baby feeds. Unique Airflex vent technology is integrated into the nipple and are designed to reduce colic and discomfort by venting air away from your baby's tummy. For use with Philips Avent Natural bottles. Bought to go with the corresponding Phillips Avent bottles and are happy with the purchase. Bought to replace and update our growing baby to the next flow nipple. Only down side is the nipples come in a two pack but the bottles came in a three pack so have to get to packs to have enough nipples + extra. Was nice they came in a little plastic case to store them! Would recommend if you use and like the Phillips Avent bottles!
Thanks to WeeSpring parent panel we were able to try out these nipples as we keep searching for one our 7 month old will take. So far we are pretty happy with them, but our little guy still hasn’t quite got the hang of it. Having a variety of different nipples to try has been awesome though, and we are sure that with a little practice he will get it! We tried these Avent nipples in slow flow 2, they are very well constructed, flexible and soft. Our baby seems to like the shape of these more than others, so being a exclusive breast feeder, I say that’s a plus!
We had a hard time transitioning to bottle from breast and I think it was more about persistence than the perfect nipple/ bottle but I feel this is the softest nipple we came across on our search and we like it a lot.
I purchased four of the #2 and two #3 replacement nipples for our bottles. All new nipples collapse when my daughter tries to extract the formula from the bottle. The original natural nipples did not do this before. Also, the flow of the #3 nipples is slower than the #2. I believe these should be recalled.
