Philips Avent Natural bottle with the Natural Response nipple lets baby control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipples' unique opening and tip only releases milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm, just like they do when breastfeeding. Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple with a soft feel that mimics the shape and feel of a breast; plus baby controlling the flow of milk like they do when breastfeeding. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy. The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold and easy for small fingers to grasp. Assembly is simple with only a few parts and the wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy. The Natural bottle is made from polypropylene, a BPA free material, and works with all nipples and caps from the Natural line. What to expect when introducing the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple:
-It's totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. Unlike traditional bottles the Natural bottle is designed to only release milk when your baby is actively drinking, like what happens when babies breastfeed.
-We have 5 different nipple flow rates for the Natural bottle. When looking for the right nipple flow rate, age is a guide, but your baby's approach to drinking and the feeding cues they will show will help determine when to move to a higher or lower nipple flow rate.

My baby is 3 months old and has been using these bottles since birth. I love that they have a glass option, multiple sizes and fun colors. They come apart easily for cleaning and are durable and can grow with baby. I use them for feeding and breast milk storage. So far I am very happy with these products.

I loved these bottles with my first child, so when I had my second child I got another set and have regretted it. The new nipple design has such a slow flow, my kid gets frustrated and gives up on the bottle. I was hoping to be able to pump and switch off overnight feeds with my husband, but definitely can’t until we find a bottle that works.

Our new Natural Response Nipple lets your baby use their natural drinking rhythm, like they do when breastfeeding. While age is a guide, we recommend watching your little one’s cues to find the best nipple flow. We designed the nipple range to work for all different drinking patterns, from fast and enthusiastic to slow and steady. The Natural Response Nipple is available in nipple flows 1 to 5. The flow rate of milk they get from the nipple is linked to how enthusiastically or steadily they drink as they develop. Enthusiastic drinkers use strong suction and compression while drinking, resulting in greater milk flow, so they usually need a lower nipple flow from the Natural Response range (such as nipple number 1 or 2) to avoid overflow. Slow and steady drinkers are likely to prefer a higher nipple flow (such as nipple 4 or 5) to ensure enough milk flows, regardless of age. You can start with the nipple that comes with the bottle and adjust from there. If after a few feeding attempts you have no success, consider changing to a different nipple flow. You might need a higher flow if you see your baby struggling to get milk out or playing with the nipple. This time, I plan to both breastfeed and bottlefeed and wanted the best chance to do it right! Receiving these bottles will help me do just that! On first looks, I am impressed with their design. They look like they will serve me well for a long time, especially since they are a larger bottle size. They are simple design, but the no drip nipple seems like it will be great for feeding! I look forward to trying these out in only a few short weeks with my newborn!

Philip Avent Natural baby bottle has been wonderful to help her get accustomed to feeding from a bottle. From the shape to the features of the bottle nipple, I love that it recreates the experience as if she were at the breast. Its unique and innovative opening responds to the drinking motion of her tongue so milk is only released when shes actively drinking. When she pauses to swallow, the milk stops flowing. She controls the pace, just like breastfeeding. She also likes to play and throw the bottle all around so the no drip nipple helps to make feeds mess-free!

Especially for a breast fed baby they mimic the natural flow of the breast and even my baby who is very picky with bottles really enjoys these ones. I also appreciate that thought was put into the nipple design to mimic the shape and feel of a breast, which makes feeds easier for mom and babies who do combination breast and bottle feeding.
Avoid using manual bottle warmer with these.

My 4 month old baby was drinking from other brand and she took Avent bottles with no hesitation. The flow trough the nipple was smooth and I noticed her not colicky this time, Interesting!! The only issue I had using Avent bottles was when using the manual bottle warmer (from same brand); there was noticeable milk leaking from the white plastic ring after warming it up.

I felt like the transition wasn't as seemless as I expected. He was very slow to drink the bottle and it took him forever which is quite different when he's at the breast. It was painfully slow.

When I compare with other brands that I already bought I can easily say that the nipples on the Phillips Avent one looks softer and easier to clean. The only thing that I dont like as mush as other brand is that I found the bottles too big for nothing.
